From what I saw from Valle I can tell you this! They have descent speed! There line is small except for moulton but I heard he's pretty soft! I don't think the weather will be a factor if IF SG shows up to play and dosnt have a big head SG will DESTROY Valle!! Valle had no numbers at all I think there back up is a 5'6 130lb freshman The Basler kid!! SG has way to much size and talent my prediction if it Rains SG 31 Valle 7 if it dosnt SG 45 Valle 14!!! And VALLE faithful should be worried if this team wins # 12 1a is extremely weak this year!!!

Sikeston @ NMCC-Sikeston BIG

St. Charles West @ Cape Central- Cape Central

North County @ Park Hills Central- Park Hills

Ste. Genevieve @ Valle-St.Gen(Game of the Week)

Poplar Bluff @ Dexter-Poplar Bluff

Portageville @ Kennett-Kennett

Malden @ Caruthersville-Caruthersville

Charleston @ Hayti-Hayti in a very close game.

Scott City @ St. Vincent-St.Vincent

St. Pius @ Chaffee-Chaffee

Grandview @ East Prairie-Grandview

Note: The Hayti vs Charleston game is a toss up for me. The main concern from me for Hayti is their depth on the line. That could be the deciding factor.

lets see how bad i can do.

Sikeston @ NMCC..... sikeston. it looks like nmcc isnt very good.

St. Charles West @ Cape Central..... cape? idk anything about FZN. but a 14-6 game can't be good.

Trinity @ Farmington..... farmington. they have to win. they better win. they have a lot to prove.

North County @ Park Hills Central..... park hills is terrible (hopefully) but so is no co (hopefully), PHC by 6.

Fredericktown @ Hillsboro... freddy looked good from what i saw at farmington while having a few key players not at the camp. they also put a whoopin on kennett. hillsboro was good last year. how many studs are they returning? freddy by 20. dont burn me at the stake if this doesnt happen...

Lift for Life Academy @ Perryville.... being as strong as an ox doesn't always coincide with being good at football. perryville by 14

Ste. Genevieve @ Valle.... well it depends where BG is standing. if he's close to valle's bench talking trash then SG by 30. if not, SG by 14.

Poplar Bluff @ Dexter..... i'd love to see dexter lose but i'm not sure bluff is up to it. dexter by a td.

Jackson @ Vianney..... if vianney are like their sausages they can only go so far. jackson by 3 in OT.

Portageville @ Kennett.... ummmm idk anything about portageville. but kennett had their hands full with freddy. might show them some stuff they can fix this week. could be a good game. kennett by 8.

Malden @ Caruthersville..... malden by 20.

Charleston @ Hayti..... i like charleston. is blackman still there? if so they win by 13.

Scott City @ St. Vincent..... scott city didnt do well against a first year team. st vincent might be pretty good this year. SV by 28.

St. Pius @ Chaffee..... 2 F's and 2 E's? i guess they'll win by 16.

Grandview @ East Prairie..... could be the ugliest game of the week. 3-2 EP.

With the weather that is forecasted anything is possible!! The team that wins the line of scrimmage and holds on to the ball will win!! Sure am glad SG isn't running spread now!! It's going to be ugly for all SEMO teams Friday night!!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 8:26 AM

Sikeston @ NMCC will be starting at 5:30 Friday Night.

-- Posted by Down Low on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 9:27 AM

Kennett @ Portageville will be a great game to tune into this week. Both teams have great talent.

-- Posted by Ric Flair (WOOOOOO) on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 9:31 AM

That's a good idea! There saying severe weather Friday night!! Can't believe teams didn't move games to thur night! Especially with the threat of severe weather! And 5" of rain!! Especially the Valle SG game that game draws a huge gate and with the weather u can cut that down by more then half! That's a loss of a few grand if not more!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 9:36 AM

Kennett @ Portageville will be a great game to tune into this week. Both teams have great talent.

-- Posted by Ric Flair (WOOOOOO) on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 9:36 AM

Bleed, which field is the game on in Ste Gen?

-- Posted by mojo3 on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 12:42 PM

It's at Valle!! Which I believe will hurt them! Maybe not last year but it will this year!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 1:05 PM

Thanks for the love hmc3. I too believe Portageville is going to have a big season. Are you agreeing with all my picks or just the Portageville game? To be honest, I'm not all that comfortable with some of them! Should be alot of close games with some very evenly matched teams and many of them could go either way. The only two games I consider "locks" are Sikeston over NMCC and Chaffee over St. Pius.

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Thu, Aug 30, 2012, at 1:38 PM

just dont bust my boys if my predictions are trash cause of the weather. haha!

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 1:52 PM

The only prediction I see you made that can be a little far fetched would be Malden beating Cville by 20. Even on a bad night, I don't think Malden would beat them by 20

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 1:58 PM

Daddy, how is Freddy doing right now? Do you know? I'm trying to keep up with Hillsboro this year.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 2:00 PM

Final score was 42-14 FredMo. More later....

-- Posted by mojo3 on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 4:36 PM

i've had class all day.... and i have always liked malden. with a name like "the green wave" i gotta pull for them. looks like i can strut around like a rooster now that freddy put a whoopin on hillsboro! this might just be the year freddy makes a good run in the playoffs. too early to tell and anyone can play with anyone on a day like today.

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 7:29 PM

Looks like The Daddy was the only one with a correct pick on Charleston over Hayti.

-- Posted by birdfan on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 9:53 PM

You was a little off on that Malden pick though Daddy lol..

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 9:55 PM

Malden lost a back after 1st half....not that it might have made the diff.....but he had like 160 yards in 1st half I think i heard Malden announcers say...

please help me with that if it is off...

-- Posted by Headhunt on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 10:04 PM

Malden only had a little over 100 yards rushing after the first half. That long TD came from a screen pass.

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 10:07 PM

@HeadHunt Yes That's about right

-- Posted by MaldenGreenwaveSports on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 10:08 PM

As I look at the predictions most all predicted Jackson to fall against Vianney. Don't count Jackson out in any game this year. Same players, but an excellent coach that can actually "coach". Great job Jackson!!!!

-- Posted by Football fan1 on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 10:12 PM

Dexter was much improved tonight despite the close loss to Bluff, esp. the defense. We did not give up a 100 yd. rusher. A late interception, our only turnover of the game, really hurt us. We were driving for another score that would have put us up 14-6. Also, we have to learn to finish drives. We had the ball in the red zone 4 or 5 times but just could not put it in the endzone. Two of our playmakers were out with injuries; hopefully they'll be back next week for Sikeston.

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Fri, Aug 31, 2012, at 11:34 PM

Preacher. Bluff's defense is Good. Dexter drove entry of times before that and still didn't score. And dexters one score came from a short field in dexters advantge

-- Posted by Tigers2638 on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 12:28 AM

Thanks daddy, the only one to pick my jays... Without any excuses... First game jitters or 2players out or whatever else some come up with... I'm starting to see a trend, excuses in wk 1,2...rocket we got that 1st win... I'm looking forward to see how we stack up with class 2 best team...as this guy says... A guy Monroe reminds me of is Ricky smith frm nmcc '00 but lil taller... I think smith was more a natural runner & faster but just as aggressive running the ball... Smith won Carr trophy! I've seen Monroe play once so.... Stay tuned!

-- Posted by He hate me on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 1:21 AM

sg ran the spread to get back in the game with valle even considering the field conditions. struggled under center. look for valle to have an easy road to the dome as they have many great fb players and are very well coached to say the least.sg scored 27 unanswered pts, in the second half....

-- Posted by Horizontal Stretch on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 1:48 AM

Tigers2638: I would completely agree that PB has an excellent defense. For that matter, they are an excellent all around team. However, I would have to disagree with you on one matter. I am not sure where you got your information, but I can assure you that Dexter's scoring drive started at their own 30 yard line. I would hardly call that a "short field". Dexter showed significant improvement tonight, and maintained a lead until the final 4 minutes of the game. Is it really that hard to give them a little credit for their efforts?

-- Posted by dexfbfan on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 2:28 AM

Dexters team however was much improved from st. Gen. Drastically!

-- Posted by Tigers2638 on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 8:24 AM

From early indications, looks like Jackson is back. That was an impressive win last night

-- Posted by bulletman on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 10:29 AM

Malden will be a very tough team the next few years. Looked at their roster and they are filled with young talent! Watch out for them in the near future!

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 11:40 AM

Yes Jackson does look pretty good!

-- Posted by Tigers2638 on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 12:36 PM

hey man i like charleston. i like coach blackman. what he's done with that team is remarkable. i'm one of the only ones that had freddy beating hillsboro too! like i've said before, this could be freddy's year! too bad we aren't doing a money contest or i would have thought about this more. i didn't do too bad on my pics from being on the other side of the darn state...

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 12:45 PM

Yea until they play SG!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 2:29 PM

It's going to be hard to stop SG Valle came out in a double eagle and shut down the Run so SG ran the spread and scored 33 unanswered points!! There WR are really good!! There D gave up under 200 yds of O to a really good Valle team! A Valle team that would beat most SEMO teams!! Next week is going to be fun!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 2:33 PM

Stretch they scored 33 unanswered!!! They were down 14 then scored late in 2 and dominated the whole 2 half!!!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 3:38 PM

I think if Bleed Green's exclamation point was disabled, he couldn't write. LOL.

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 5:24 PM

Preach heard Dexter really looked good last night. Heard QB looked sharp and D made a few good pops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Sep 1, 2012, at 6:06 PM

and if he didnt have an iphone he would spell as bad as that bearcat guy.

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Mon, Sep 3, 2012, at 9:49 PM

This may be Freddy's year.

There aren't many teams in the area that can go toe to toe with powerhouses like Kennett and Hillsboro.

-- Posted by zachattack on Mon, Sep 3, 2012, at 10:48 PM

Bleed Green, Dexter showed a lot of improvement this week, esp. on defense. Looking forward to playing Sikeston on Friday night!

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Tue, Sep 4, 2012, at 12:19 PM

Preach, I'd say Dexter and Sikeston are going to be a good measuring stick for each other this Friday. They are two teams that have needed experience and haven't clicked quite like I think either will be later in the season. If I could introduce myself at the game, I would, but unfortunately I'm not in town. I will be back for the Dome game with Farmington though if anyone is interested.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Tue, Sep 4, 2012, at 12:52 PM

keep it up Daddy dont makd me call Harlan from PH Haha.oh and my iphone got wet friday had a hole n my rain jacket new one will b here tomorrow!!

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Tue, Sep 4, 2012, at 6:23 PM

I thought his name was harlan that administrator at PH you know that jerk who got into it with your mom! Hey text me your # my phone is jacked up getting a new one!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Tue, Sep 4, 2012, at 6:42 PM

harlow.... ya dunce...

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Tue, Sep 4, 2012, at 8:51 PM

Sideline, I agree with you 100% on your thoughts on the Sikeston vs. Dexter game. I look for a hard-hitting, low-scoring, defensive struggle Friday night. Both OL's are young and have really struggled. Turnovers, special teams, and field position may make the difference in the game.
