I wasn't at the game saturday but while listening to it on the radio I heard the coach say that they are weeding out the guys on the team that wasn't committed and going to war with the rest.(That may not be the exact quote but it was something to that extent.) Who have they weeded out? I had heard that #1 Drake was off the team but who else? I hope Kennett can do something against E.P.,Malden, or maybe Charleston. If not it is going to be hard to get a win.

Good for the Kennett coach. Some of these kids think they can tell the coach what to do or do there own thing. If you won't get on the coach's page then you need to go home.
Wow. With all the junk I read on some of these post you are going to watch this one? But I see the point. It was not my intentions to bash any player or ex player. After reading it again I can see where it could lead to that. I apoligize. But still there is alot of other stuff to watch on here if you feel like you need to be the watchdog.

I do feel like I need to be the watchdog for anything involving schools in my coverage area (Dunklin County). I'm less concerned about topics on forum threads not involving my coverage area.
Dustin if you are a member of staff on this website then you should not just single out the Terms of Service over one county than the other. What a joke you are.

I don't think it would be appropriate for a Kennett police officer to write a ticket if he saw a car parked illegally in Springfield. Consider the logic of your argument.
Dustin I know what I meant and by what I wrote is that even though you cannot do anything about a post that is against the TOS you can report it.

I just sent you an e-mail so if you would like to discuss it with me or call me feel free. However, I will explain to you what my power is. If I see something I think is inappropriate I would notify the moderator. If the moderator believes the post is no appropriate she will delete it.
Drawmules, I believe everyone has the authority to report inappropriate comments made. Therefore, making your first comment on this thread meaningless. You don't need to tell people it will be watched, they know it's being watched. Many people report comments, not just sportswriters and reporters like yourself.

Man Kennett really needs to win some games. They are so irrelevant that you can not even get a thread started to discuss them. They have not made it to the playoffs since 1986. No kid in high school anywhere in the U.S. was even born then. But people care so little that this post turns into a argument about the semoball police. Does no one else find it interesting that a town with so much talent can be so bad for so long?

I really like music. My favorite form of entertainment when there are no sporting events to go to is to attend musicals.

Anyone outside of Dunklin County, otherwise known as "the coverage area of Dustin Ward", could absolutely careless about either one of them. Mule, I want to keep posting on this website so I am not saying anything further on the Charleston game, the videos been posted make what you want of it. The game film and many calls were made to MHSAA so they can deal with it.
I do not care what Kennett is doing in football, I was just trying to call Dustin out on his so called watchdog mentality over this thread. He being on staff for the paper I just asked him if that was fair to monitor this thread over any other.

I'm not going to continue with the nonsense. Fortunately we haven't had anyone post negative comments or criticize any students since this thread was started. I anticipated that would happen when I first read the thread. I'm thrilled you have elected to criticize me instead of any student athletes.
The reason I don't monitor these threads is because I do not read them often. There is rarely useful information on them.

I would have to disagree Dustin. There is great information on some of these threads. True, some get out of hand and are pointless but some threads, even you can learn a thing or two. We may bicker back and forth amongst ourselves, but there are some smart people on here who know about the sports they are discussing. Seeing how you enjoy Volleyball and Musicals, there probably isn't any useful information for you, but for us Football and Basketball guys, there's plenty.

I'm also curious why you think I don't like basketball considering it says under my profile in the 2009-10 basketball season I watched 84 varsity basketball teams play a total of 147 varsity games.
I never said you didn't like basketball. I'm well aware of what your profile says about the games you attended. Some people write about games and events they necessarily don't enjoy or like. You just seem to get more excited over volleyball, which is why I said you enjoy volleyball. Just my opinion, no knock on you or anything.
i don't like "teen mom" but i've seen every episode the past 2 years thanks to my fiance.

I think what originally started this entire conversation was a comment made by you, so the relevancy of this thread was actually started by you and your comment about your beloved Indians. I really don't think any "Adult" would get on here and bash any kids playing sports. If you read back folks were only commenting on your post and the fact you are out to only protect and serve the Indians. I read some of your articles this summer and the teams that beat Kennett didn't even get their proper respect, and usually don't. Only my opinion and my opinion only matters to me, but my opinion. Not that it will even mean one thing to you, but I would love to read an article you write that actually gives the other team credit they actually deserve. Once again only my opinion and maybe the real problem here is me and not your articles, but once again my opinion.
How about you guys stop arguing and start talking about the topic? It seems that the Kennett coach is trying to run a program the right way and is getting a hard time for it. Doesn't seem fair. Some coaches around here seem willing to let the kids run the show by watching how they act on the sidelines.
Almost sorry I started this post (Almost) I get that Dustin was worried about what might be said. But like Mayor Eagle said I don't think anyone was going to bash any kids. As for the talent of the Indians, it is very relavent who is on or off the team. Especially if they played a big role on the team. No one was saying that the coach is doing anything wrong. I was just wanting a scouting report. Would be the same with any other team.

I am not fan of any team.
However, we do run photos and stories on Kennett because most of our subscribers are from Dunklin County, not New Madrid County. I do not report on New Madrid County teams unless I am freelancing (which sometimes I do freelance).
It's not possible for one reporter to review all of these forums and keep up with everything that goes on in every county. That is why we have different editors in different locations.

I don't think you had bad intentions at all.
X-Man, I think it is a mystery to many of us why Kennett's football program has been so bad for so long. They are competitive in every other sport, esp. basketball and baseball. I don't think it's just a coaching problem as Kennett has had different football coaches and nobody can seem to get it going. It doesn't seem to be a lack of good athletes either. Nor can the blame be laid on being a small school as Kennett is a Class 3 school in football and now Class 4 in basketball. It's a real head-scratcher to me.
Well put Preacher Man. I think what is bad is that Kennett could have a good season but still never make it post season. It was hard enough with the old system but now you throw St. gen, and Potosi in the mix and that makes it even tougher.

I hear you whiteboitatted. I also think Indian Basketball will do well this season even though they are moving up. Going back to the Weeding out, I think they need to start weeding through their applicants for head coach a little better. I played for coach J and my Sr. year was for Coach Jones. Starting with Coach Jones Kennett has not made one decent football head coaching hire. Bring back Coach J!! We may not have won a district but the competition we played was alot tougher than these weak teams that Kennett is losing to this year. I know I will get some flack for downing Kennett but at some point you have to call it the way it is.
