well like i've said plenty of times potosi is a bunch of hypocrites. go before the game and hear what the bums up by the intermediate school have to say to the visiting team ("yea take a good look at the endzone! that's the only time you'll see it") and listen to what the student section cheers. potosi is, well at least used to be, one of the mouthiest teams i ever played. weren't too dirty on the field but they have had some pretty crappy fans and players. i was even told once that i "suck" by a potosi PARENT after a game. what kind of person does that crap? (now you all know why i hate potosi)

Preach u were at SG Dexter game what did u think?
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 3:29 PM
I think it's great! I suppose it can be a fine line at times. And if want to talk intimidation, how about where the fans are and where the visiting teams stand at MRH and Dexter. If I remember correctly, I think at Hillsboro, the home team was on the same side as the bleachers.
I've seen Ste Gen do the school song thing when they lose, which isn't often at home.
For the first time in YEARS FredMo has a pep club and the kids are getting into it. My wife has been a culprit in it, bought a butt load of noisemakers and such for sale as a fundraiser. Sold out on those vuvusela things.
Kind of find it funny a Potosi coach commenting on Dragon fan behavior, I've seen a bunch of crap at Potosi.

Don't know his name he was bragging on how good his 8 grade team was and how they destroyed every team they played! Short guy bout 5'8 glasses he also was bragging on a Sophmore reicever could of been his son I don't know I was to busy throwing my hat and biting my tongue!! Not funny our secondary is driving me CRAZY!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 3:46 PM
I think it's great they even KNOW the school song...
Kids dont do that alot these days....
I think you will see copy cats......I say keep it going.
THAT's School Spirit......
Allow that kind of behavior?? What a strange comment.. Jealousy takes on all kinds of forms..
-- Posted by Headhunt on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 3:50 PM
Yes, BG, I was at the Ste. Gen vs. Dexter game and no, I didn't think there was anything out of line from the Ste. Gen student section.
-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 4:00 PM
Yeah....SG had a radio station doing a live remote in the parking lot last year - week 10 for the district championship game. There was so much green, it looked like a St Patrick's day parade! People were singing some weird song live over the radio. It was actually pretty neat.
I filmed it all, but I probably deleted it, I can't find it...
-- Posted by zachattack on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 4:12 PM
Mojo3, speaking of Potosi.....
Controversy often surrounds that team for one reason or another. Not sure why.
Maybe they should show a little school spirit!
-- Posted by zachattack on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 4:13 PM
we call em grenade whistles... haha!
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 4:14 PM
Cape Central stundent's so that also during football and basketball season and call their group the jungle. The coaches and central staff embrace it as long as they don't get out of hand with it. They say it inspires the players and it also help get the other central fans cheering.
-- Posted by country man on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 6:19 PM
Zach, one man's school spirit might be another's trash talking intimidation. I don't know what it is with Potosi, always seems to be something coming out of there. Must be something in the water.
-- Posted by mojo3 on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 6:33 PM
Having been out of highschool for sometime,I think its great to see your highschool get excited at games. Its good to get the student body involved.Been to alot of games and alot of schools are pretty dead.If its done with class I have no problem with it.Singing the school song is awesome.

BG, that sophomore he was talking about is the one that had 5 catches for 230 yards and 3 TDs last night. It's not his son though.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sat, Sep 15, 2012, at 9:00 PM
I may be the only one,(Probably Am), but I'm not neccisarily opposed to fans 'quote' trash talking The other team as long as there is no personal attacks or profanity. More so in basketball than football(it's easier to do), but MSHSAA all but has taken anything enjoyable out of fandom during games. Everybody is worried about little johnnys feelings these days. I Love watching great teams go toe to toe and smack talk a little, players and fans
-- Posted by NeverWasBeen on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 1:37 AM
You guys think one place is bad but fans and parents and players on every team in this area talk trash and lack knowledge about what the game of organized football is all about. That includes st gen, fredtown, parkhills, along with potosi.
-- Posted by FBG on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 11:39 AM
Pj 24 he was pretty good but SG secondary made him look like Calvin Johnson!! He did have a few good catches! All of Potosi WR caught the ball well! Potosi has a lot of good talent coming up they will be a favorite next year.
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 12:59 PM
when have you ever heard anyone from freddy talking trash to any player? or saw a fredericktown player get in someones face? i'm really curious because that doesnt happen. the last time a fan talked smack to a player was in '08 against scott city and he got thrown out after he was told to stop. coach henson doesnt let players talk smack. if they do they wont play. period. it doesn't happen in SG either. fredericktown and SG are probably the most sportsmanlike teams in the area. nobody else will help other players up and tell them nice run or nice catch.
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 5:36 PM
Pretty good?? He had 5 catches for 230 yards and 2 TDs plus an 84 yard kickoff return for another TD and all but 30 yards of that was in the first half alone. You call that a "pretty good" performance? Wow. I guess Brendan Dallas's performance should be considered just "pretty good" considering that almost half of Potosi's starters are sophomores. I wish you would just give credit where credit is due and not downplay it because it happened against your beloved Dragons. I would never do that. Dallas had a monster game but so did our guy.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 5:49 PM
He does it all the time, it's how he rolls. I love SG, but nobody is as biased towards their team as BG. If you score, it's because our secondary is hurt. If we score it's because we are awesome. Don't take offense to it. He has calmed down alot this year. Lol.
-- Posted by Shortbus on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 6:04 PM
Really watch the dang game film! Really I guarantee you that he will not even come close to that performance again! God guys yes I might be a little bias but seriously our secondary Is horrible! I said he was pretty good and that they are talented what else u want me to say! If your wide open you should catch the ball! Potosi receivers made some really good grabs! If SG secondary was just descent Pitosi looses by 35 easy I don't care what anyone says! There running back came in avg 148 yds a game! How many yards he have? Ya exactly. Look what PHC did to MWood we made there QB and receivers look like the green bay packers! Once again Potosi HAS SOME REALLY GOOD PLAYERS THEY WILL BE REALLY GOOD IN THE FUTURE!! Now SHUT UP
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 6:36 PM
Yeah, I know. I've read many of his posts. I try not to take offense but it's hard sometimes. It's just a shame to see a performance like that by a sophomore and to hear somebody call it "pretty good". It's disrespectful. Our kid had a "great" game and so did theirs. I'm not going to take anything away from either one. I also get aggravated with all the Potosi bashing on here. Maybe you guys have had a bad experience with a Potosi fan or two but it's not fair to judge all of us based on something one or two morons have said. I come here to talk about football and I have to read a bunch of childish garbage about how much Potosi sucks and how bad our football team is. I think our performance against Ste. Gen was very respectable. We made a ton of mistakes and still scored 33 points and lost by 16. That's far from a blowout.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 6:42 PM
it's good to see potosi fans coming to life now.
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 6:43 PM
Seriously? How can you guarantee that, BG? You know nothing about this kid. He might not have another game like that but then again, he just might. He's no fluke. Just ask some of your sophomore players. They're very aware of who he is and what he can do. 13 catches for 450 yards in four games. Sorry, that's no fluke. I was at the game and I've watched the game film several times and you are way off. He was not wide open, as you say, on any of his 5 catches. You might want to go back and watch it again...and maybe put some glasses on this time. I think you're the one who needs to SHUT UP since you obviously never have anything intelligent to say.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:00 PM
Is it because they got picked as #10 in the poll last week, they are a little cocky now, Daddy?
-- Posted by mojo3 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:03 PM
And SG didnt make mistakes? Yes they did that's why you scored 33 points now get over it u lost and worry about Freddy!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:07 PM
i was hoping that would awaken the sleeping trojan faithful. i knew when it came time to playing the big boys they'd have something to say!
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:10 PM
Ok guys here we go Potosi has a sophomore wide receiver who is the best WR I have ever seen! Potosi is really good they should of beat SG but they made a few mistakes! But there young but will win state next year and the year after!! How's that that better?
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:12 PM
Quote from BG: "If SG secondary was just descent Pitosi looses by 35 easy". Think about that statement for a minute, BG. Think really hard about it...don't hurt yourself though. Every team can make a statement similar to what you just said. Well, if we had a line that could block we would have won that game by 35. If we had an all state QB we would have won that game easily. Nothing wrong with being biased toward your home town team but you take it to a whole new ridiculous level. You can't have an intelligent conversation about football. It doesn't matter what you say, all I'm hearing is "Ste. Gen rules! We're the best high school football team in the world". The difference between you an me is that I'm smart enough to realize that not everyone in Ste. Gen is like you. At the game Friday night, a very nice gentleman from Ste. Gen struck up a conversation with me and we had an intelligent unbiased conversation about football. I don't know what you look like but it only took about 2 seconds to know that it wasn't you.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:17 PM
No BG. That's not better at all. I didn't say anything close to that nor did I imply any of that. That sounds more like something you would say about Ste. Gen. Nevermind, I can't have a conversation with a brick wall.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:23 PM
I'm one of a kind no doubt about that! Thanks for compliment good luck Friday!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:23 PM
Wow. Thanks for making me feel welcome guys. I don't recall saying anything that would make me sound cocky. I know we didn't deserve that ranking but we didn't vote ourselves into the rankings so don't be bashing us because of it. And no BG, I'm not the kid. I don't think a 44 year old could keep up out there.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:33 PM
Like I said good luck Friday!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:37 PM
well you did put "an" instead of "and", so you're kind of in Bleed Green's boat when it comes to grammatical usage.

No problem BG. I could compliment you all day! Good luck to you guys too.
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:38 PM
Good point daddy. I noticed that but it was too late to fix it. By the way, you need to work on your capitalization. ;-)
-- Posted by PJ24 on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:47 PM
and i for one didn't say potosi sucks. i just said they weren't worthy of a state ranking by beating teams that get 55 points scored on them on a regular basis. i've said "if they're as bad as i think they are" on a few occasions but come on you lost most of what you had last year and weren't that great. i watched more potosi games than fredericktown games last year. (i'm engaged to a potosian believe it or not)i will be the first one to say the best game potosi played last year was at freddy. and oh yes i hate potosi with a passion. that goes with most rivalries. ask north county and farmington about what happened in the early 2000's when north county spray painted farmington's field. i haven't had bad experiences with "a few" potosi fans and players. it's been quite a few that have verbally attacked me whether it be during high school or while i was playing college ball a couple years back. i was even told by more than one former player that i had a bounty on injuring me my senior year. do i hate everyone from potosi? no. i actually have quite a few friends from potosi. do i dislike a lot of what (some) potosi fans do? yes. fredericktown has only seen a warm welcome from the coaches and administration from what i have personally seen. this is just my opinion and personal experiences. don't go telling everyone that fredericktown has it out for potosi. i also do not have a problem with you. you seem like you can have a somewhat normal conversation on here and i hope this doesn't turn into me being called a liar and all that crap.
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:54 PM
capitalizing is for squares. but you didn't capitalize "Daddy"! respect my authoritah!
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 7:56 PM
Potosi players seem to have cleaned up their act in the last few years. Its been a number of years ago that has possibly caused a neg. reputation for the purple squad. Hats off to the coaching staff because it all starts with them...Potosi does have some very good talent and look for the wr. to possibly slip into a all region, district and maybe an all-state slot. He is that good!
-- Posted by Horizontal Stretch on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 8:18 PM
haven't seen potosi play yet. hoping to get to go down to potosi friday night. what's the kid's name? i heard that the glore kid is supposed to be a beast at receiver according to j98's preseason interview thingy. i know he's a heck of a player as well as the RB.

Potosi fans coming out of the woodwork?
Awesome.
Now I have people to argue with from SG, FRED aaaaaand POTOSI !

-- Posted by caniplay on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 9:01 PM
Bleed Green,
Classy move to call Ste. Gen. (allegedly your squad) secondary "horrible". Classy. They're high school kids, man, not adults. May be time for you to look into a new hobby--perhaps one that doesn't involve making derogatory statements about teenagers.
-- Posted by kools&oe on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 9:06 PM
I didn't necessarily say that I have argued with anyone.....but now there are non-lurking individuals that reppa' sent SG, Fred and Potosi!
It might get good over the next coupl'a weeks!
-- Posted by zachattack on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 9:07 PM

I'm still waiting for the "Official BG Rankings" that I was promised today.
Hitting my refresh button is getting old. lol
-- Posted by Shortbus on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 10:22 PM
The Daddy,
I played against st gen and fredmo both. st gen was one of the worst teams as far as players trash talking other players goes. Fredmo was actually not too bad from the players. but their parents can be just as bad as any other place.
-- Posted by FBG on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 10:39 PM
depends on when you played. in the EARLY 2000's, a few of freddy's fans got a little out of control a couple of games. most were known alcoholics. SG hasn't been mouthy since Bleed Green graduated. haha!
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 16, 2012, at 11:28 PM
Kool what are u talking about I said there secondary is horrible! Listen to the coaches radio interview on Friday night and listen to what there own coaches had to say!! Look at the stats yes these kids are teenagers NOT 7 year olds!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 7:13 AM
Green, I'm talking about you calling them horrible. A football team is comprised of people--in this case teenagers. Therefore by calling the secondary horrible, you are calling the players horrible. How would you like it if someone came to your child's game and berated them at the game and on a message board? I assume you would be upset. Perhaps it had something to do with all three of SG's starters being out... Maybe it was inexperience, maybe it was the fact that Cooley is a stud, maybe you're just a genius and should be coaching with Nick Saban since you're such defensive guru.
-- Posted by kools&oe on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 8:59 AM
All 3 played against MWood and Valle and all 3 were either all state all conf or all whatever! Get your crap together before u try and talk to me about football! These are really good kids I am in no ways saying these kids suck 2 of the 3 are really good WR one all state and other should of been and the other was an all conf safety ! I'm sayin as if now they are playing really bad in the secondary!! #'s don't lie! You guys give me crap for defending and crap for being hard on them!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 9:20 AM
The starters played one bad game (Maplewood). Other than that, they have been pretty sound--as it was essentially the back-ups playing against Potosi. Valle burned Roth and the other was a good play call against a zone coverage. Hopefully I've got my crap together enough to talk to you about football. I assume you were an all-stater by the way you analyze and scrutinize the high schoolers. You get don't get repremanded for being hard on them, you get repremanded because of the manner in which you approach it. No one is saying their secondary is where it needs to be, but saying they need to improve would probably be more appropriate than calling them horrible. Hopefully you never coach anything, because if I had a child, I would make sure they never played on your team.
-- Posted by kools&oe on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 10:00 AM
Ok thanks and no I was not all state in football! Track yes but not football! But know SG football as well of not better then most! I get tired of people wanting to sugar coat things when I played our coaches didn't care about our feelings heck coach Buatte always told people they sucked! He didn't mean it it was his personality he was hard nose and that's the way. And if I did coach I'd cut your kid anyways!! Haha
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 10:07 AM
Re-read my post. You most certainly would not cut my kids, because, as I said earlier, they would not play for you. Obviously you are the smartest man alive and know everything about SG and how their kids should be coached (since I'm sure you know every one of them personally), thus I'll give up with trying to reason with you.

Kools&oe, welcome to the Bleed Green Fan Club! It is composed of guys like you and me (and Sideline, Cheesehead, Zachattack, The Daddy, Bill Shakespeare, Shortbus, etc., etc. etc.) who have tried and failed to reason with BG. We have all patiently tried to help him see the difference between constructive and destructive criticism and he just doesn't get it.
Just as an aside, isn't it interesting how this thread started as a discussion of school spirit and sort of degenerated into how not to show school spirit!?
-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 10:44 AM
Bleed green is just one of those guys who knows everything about anything when it comes to football, but yet he is not a coach or an analyst, he is just a former player that can do nothing but watch the games and pretend he has the inside scoop about everything.
-- Posted by FBG on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 10:51 AM
I said HORRIBLE GEEZ PEOPLE ! Ok sorry for saying horrible bad choice of words! And Preach speak for yourself Me and Daddy have became pretty good buds we talk and text all the time! And no I don't no everything but I'm not shy and I don't care what people say or think about me! That def includes most of u!!

Whatever you say, BG. Just thought you would like to know about your Fan Club, that's all.
-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 1:51 PM
i'll be able to use my psychic ability after friday to tell you the exact score. i want a handwritten apology from you if freddy goes to potosi and gets a running clock in the second half. but freddy will beat SG. i'm more confident about it now than any other season.
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 4:02 PM
I would like to see Fredericktown straight-up dominate Potosi just to shut everyone up about them.
Whip a bunch of nobodies.....get your name printed in the paper as a top 10 team. It's ridiculous.
-- Posted by zachattack on Mon, Sep 17, 2012, at 4:44 PM
I'm not quite with Daddy yet. I do agree this FredMo team is one of the best we have had, but good enough to beat Ste Gen? Don't know. Maybe Zach can give a straight report after Friday's game! And I must be feeling the hype on pot-o-si. This game has me nervous....
-- Posted by mojo3 on Tue, Sep 18, 2012, at 8:41 PM
Yeah....I will be straight-up. I'll make sure to give SG props if they deserve 'em.
I will have plenty of video.....
-- Posted by zachattack on Tue, Sep 18, 2012, at 10:22 PM
Since this thread is about school spirit....I don't feel like what SG does is over the top. I wish Sikeston's students were more vocal and active at the football games. However, our uptight administration does its level best to squelch that...at both football and basketball games. I realize kids can go "over the top," but the Sikeston games (at least in football) have little to any school spirit. Believe you me....I am one of the biggest Bulldog fans around. I wish the kids COULD do more. It sounds like SG does it right.
-- Posted by Rocket689 on Wed, Sep 19, 2012, at 9:10 AM
oh trust me rocket... freddy feels your pain...
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Wed, Sep 19, 2012, at 3:19 PM
That's too bad, Daddy. I think the "atmosphere" and "school spirit" make the game fun for everyone, IMHO. I was at the NMCC-SG game back in 2008 (I think) where the game was 72-50 (or something ilke that). I like the fact that SG's announcer said "That's another Dragon..." and the crowd said in unison "First down!" That has stuck with me. I really enjoyed that....even though NMCC had 600 yards+ rushing. Ha!

For those of you who have been to games at SG you proably have noticed our student section and how they make up cheers and wear there crazy outfits! There was a coach from Potosi who coaches the 8 grade team who was standing by us and he kept saying " I don't know why they allow that kind of behavior" I don't believe it's bad but what do u think?
Replies
I think it's perfectly acceptable. 100%
School spirit among players, staff, students....etc.etc.etc. can say alot about a football program before the team even takes the field.
Unless it crosses the line into taunting the other team, then I have no problem with it.
Exactly!
well like i've said plenty of times potosi is a bunch of hypocrites. go before the game and hear what the bums up by the intermediate school have to say to the visiting team ("yea take a good look at the endzone! that's the only time you'll see it") and listen to what the student section cheers. potosi is, well at least used to be, one of the mouthiest teams i ever played. weren't too dirty on the field but they have had some pretty crappy fans and players. i was even told once that i "suck" by a potosi PARENT after a game. what kind of person does that crap? (now you all know why i hate potosi)
Preach u were at SG Dexter game what did u think?
I think it's great they even KNOW the school song...
Kids dont do that alot these days....
I think you will see copy cats......I say keep it going.
THAT's School Spirit......
Allow that kind of behavior?? What a strange comment.. Jealousy takes on all kinds of forms..
Yes, BG, I was at the Ste. Gen vs. Dexter game and no, I didn't think there was anything out of line from the Ste. Gen student section.
Mojo3, speaking of Potosi.....
Controversy often surrounds that team for one reason or another. Not sure why.
Maybe they should show a little school spirit!
we call em grenade whistles... haha!
Cape Central stundent's so that also during football and basketball season and call their group the jungle. The coaches and central staff embrace it as long as they don't get out of hand with it. They say it inspires the players and it also help get the other central fans cheering.
Zach, one man's school spirit might be another's trash talking intimidation. I don't know what it is with Potosi, always seems to be something coming out of there. Must be something in the water.
Having been out of highschool for sometime,I think its great to see your highschool get excited at games. Its good to get the student body involved.Been to alot of games and alot of schools are pretty dead.If its done with class I have no problem with it.Singing the school song is awesome.
zachattack's school spirit:

Maplewood played this music at their homecoming last year when Central played there....
well they played this in warmups in 2010... it intimidated the fans as much as the players.

BG, that sophomore he was talking about is the one that had 5 catches for 230 yards and 3 TDs last night. It's not his son though.
You guys think one place is bad but fans and parents and players on every team in this area talk trash and lack knowledge about what the game of organized football is all about. That includes st gen, fredtown, parkhills, along with potosi.
Pj 24 he was pretty good but SG secondary made him look like Calvin Johnson!! He did have a few good catches! All of Potosi WR caught the ball well! Potosi has a lot of good talent coming up they will be a favorite next year.
when have you ever heard anyone from freddy talking trash to any player? or saw a fredericktown player get in someones face? i'm really curious because that doesnt happen. the last time a fan talked smack to a player was in '08 against scott city and he got thrown out after he was told to stop. coach henson doesnt let players talk smack. if they do they wont play. period. it doesn't happen in SG either. fredericktown and SG are probably the most sportsmanlike teams in the area. nobody else will help other players up and tell them nice run or nice catch.
He does it all the time, it's how he rolls. I love SG, but nobody is as biased towards their team as BG. If you score, it's because our secondary is hurt. If we score it's because we are awesome. Don't take offense to it. He has calmed down alot this year. Lol.
Now SHUT UP
Yeah, I know. That's far from a blowout.
it's good to see potosi fans coming to life now.
Is it because they got picked as #10 in the poll last week, they are a little cocky now, Daddy?
And SG didnt make mistakes? Yes they did that's why you scored 33 points now get over it u lost and worry about Freddy!!
i was hoping that would awaken the sleeping trojan faithful. i knew when it came time to playing the big boys they'd have something to say!
Ok guys here we go Potosi has a sophomore wide receiver who is the best WR I have ever seen! Potosi is really good they should of beat SG but they made a few mistakes! But there young but will win state next year and the year after!! How's that that better?
No BG. That's not better at all. I didn't say anything close to that nor did I imply any of that. That sounds more like something you would say about Ste. Gen. Nevermind, I can't have a conversation with a brick wall.
I'm one of a kind no doubt about that! Thanks for compliment good luck Friday!!
Like I said good luck Friday!!
well you did put "an" instead of "and", so you're kind of in Bleed Green's boat when it comes to grammatical usage.
No problem BG. I could compliment you all day! Good luck to you guys too.
Good point daddy. I noticed that but it was too late to fix it. By the way, you need to work on your capitalization. ;-)
and i for one didn't say potosi sucks. i just said they weren't worthy of a state ranking by beating teams that get 55 points scored on them on a regular basis. i've said "if they're as bad as i think they are" on a few occasions but come on you lost most of what you had last year and weren't that great. i watched more potosi games than fredericktown games last year. (i'm engaged to a potosian believe it or not)i will be the first one to say the best game potosi played last year was at freddy. and oh yes i hate potosi with a passion. that goes with most rivalries. ask north county and farmington about what happened in the early 2000's when north county spray painted farmington's field. i haven't had bad experiences with "a few" potosi fans and players. it's been quite a few that have verbally attacked me whether it be during high school or while i was playing college ball a couple years back. i was even told by more than one former player that i had a bounty on injuring me my senior year. do i hate everyone from potosi? no. i actually have quite a few friends from potosi. do i dislike a lot of what (some) potosi fans do? yes. fredericktown has only seen a warm welcome from the coaches and administration from what i have personally seen. this is just my opinion and personal experiences. don't go telling everyone that fredericktown has it out for potosi. i also do not have a problem with you. you seem like you can have a somewhat normal conversation on here and i hope this doesn't turn into me being called a liar and all that crap.
capitalizing is for squares. but you didn't capitalize "Daddy"! respect my authoritah!
He is that good!
haven't seen potosi play yet. hoping to get to go down to potosi friday night. what's the kid's name? i heard that the glore kid is supposed to be a beast at receiver according to j98's preseason interview thingy. i know he's a heck of a player as well as the RB.
Potosi fans coming out of the woodwork?
Awesome.
Now I have people to argue with from SG, FRED aaaaaand POTOSI !
when the F have mojo and i argued with you about anything besides who would win the PH/freddy game? we usually agree with everything you have to say. i like you more than Bleed Green.
Daddy you Played in college or just went to college
Bleed Green,
Classy move to call Ste. Gen. (allegedly your squad) secondary "horrible". Classy. They're high school kids, man, not adults. May be time for you to look into a new hobby--perhaps one that doesn't involve making derogatory statements about teenagers.
I didn't necessarily say that I have argued with anyone.....but now there are non-lurking individuals that reppa' sent SG, Fred and Potosi!
It might get good over the next coupl'a weeks!
i played in college for 3 semesters then stopped because it was taking too much from my academic time. i was barely staying eligible. i stick with intermurals now. HOLLA!
I'm still waiting for the "Official BG Rankings" that I was promised today.
Hitting my refresh button is getting old. lol
The Daddy,
I played against st gen and fredmo both. st gen was one of the worst teams as far as players trash talking other players goes. Fredmo was actually not too bad from the players. but their parents can be just as bad as any other place.
depends on when you played. in the EARLY 2000's, a few of freddy's fans got a little out of control a couple of games. most were known alcoholics. SG hasn't been mouthy since Bleed Green graduated. haha!
Kool what are u talking about I said there secondary is horrible! Listen to the coaches radio interview on Friday night and listen to what there own coaches had to say!! Look at the stats yes these kids are teenagers NOT 7 year olds!
Haha
Re-read my post. You most certainly would not cut my kids, because, as I said earlier, they would not play for you. Obviously you are the smartest man alive and know everything about SG and how their kids should be coached (since I'm sure you know every one of them personally), thus I'll give up with trying to reason with you.
Thank you have a nice day Sir
Kools&oe, welcome to the Bleed Green Fan Club! It is composed of guys like you and me (and Sideline, Cheesehead, Zachattack, The Daddy, Bill Shakespeare, Shortbus, etc., etc. etc.) who have tried and failed to reason with BG. We have all patiently tried to help him see the difference between constructive and destructive criticism and he just doesn't get it.
Just as an aside, isn't it interesting how this thread started as a discussion of school spirit and sort of degenerated into how not to show school spirit!?
Bleed green is just one of those guys who knows everything about anything when it comes to football, but yet he is not a coach or an analyst, he is just a former player that can do nothing but watch the games and pretend he has the inside scoop about everything.
That def includes most of u!!
yea but i still think you can be a little ignorant on here. but you are a good guy when you aren't talking about football. lol
Ignorant? You just said Freddy will beat SG by 14 in another Post that was Ignorant haha
But they will beat SG. Doesn't matter by how much, just matters that Freddy will finish with a W.
Whatever you say, BG. Just thought you would like to know about your Fan Club, that's all.
i'll be able to use my psychic ability after friday to tell you the exact score. i want a handwritten apology from you if freddy goes to potosi and gets a running clock in the second half. but freddy will beat SG. i'm more confident about it now than any other season.
I would like to see Fredericktown straight-up dominate Potosi just to shut everyone up about them.
Whip a bunch of nobodies.....get your name printed in the paper as a top 10 team. It's ridiculous.
I'm not quite with Daddy yet. I do agree this FredMo team is one of the best we have had, but good enough to beat Ste Gen? Don't know. Maybe Zach can give a straight report after Friday's game! And I must be feeling the hype on pot-o-si. This game has me nervous....
Yeah....I will be straight-up. I'll make sure to give SG props if they deserve 'em.
I will have plenty of video.....
It sounds like SG does it right.
oh trust me rocket... freddy feels your pain...
Ha!
