Bleed Green's top 5 week 5
Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 5:03 PM:

Third week doing this! And the reason I do this is Im hoping Rachel will add SG PHC and Freddy to Semoball!! Because like it or not we are considered Semo teams! So here we go 1). SIKESTON - ya I know they barely beat PB but they are still the big Doggs until Jackson beats them!

2). Jackson- I'm a believer 5-0 beat a good cape! They say coaches don't win games but I truly believe there coach is the reason this team is turning heads!

3). SG- what can I say that I already haven't good team secondary needs to improve but I believe this is the best team in Dist-1

4).Cville - this team has been hit harder then SG I believe they loose there top 2 RB and all they do is keep plugging in 100 yd backs! This team is no slouch cant wait to watch them play MWood!

5).PHC- this team is really good on D and they are huge up front although they rushed for 85 yds against SG that's the most SG has given up all year. If they can get #12 more involved they will meet SG in the dist finals week 13!! Oh and let me say this was the best sportsman like team I have ever seen in Park Hills.

.....uhhhhhh......probably not.....maybe not!

-- Posted by zachattack on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 7:43 PM

I'm looking forward to some real interesting second round possible games for week 11 in class 3. Wonder how they will bracket the first rounds?

-- Posted by mojo3 on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 7:53 PM

its gonna be a great playoffs no matter what!

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 8:11 PM

BG, if Semoball extended their coverage to include Ste. Gen, PHC, and Fredericktown, wouldn't it also need to add Valle, Potosi, DeSoto, and Farmington to be fair? I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to that, just wondering where you, Daddy, and Zachattack would draw the line?

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 8:58 PM

Preacher man fan, what exactly do you mean by "draw the line" ?

-- Posted by zachattack on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 9:09 PM

Well Zach, if you are going to call your web-site Semoball, you can't include everybody. Where is the line between Semo and those schools not in Semo?

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Sun, Sep 23, 2012, at 9:13 PM

That's what I thought you meant, but I wasn't 100% sure.

I also thought that you may be referring to BG's well-known obnoxiousness and maybe associating us "northerners" with riffraff and general knuckleheadedness. hahaha

These are the teams I wish Semoball would add. SG,Freddy, farm,Valle,PHC, NC I dont believe Potosi and Desoto should be added. Not only would this add 6 great programs to your website you will also get a lot more people to your site There are a lot of SG and PHC fans and Freddy and theses fans are passionate about football and would def come to the site more often

Yep oh trust me she had no clue! She's not from around here she's from San Diego and lived in Seattle when I met her! I actually moved to Seattle in 03 thank god they had prep cast! I watched a lot if football out there I followed Jake Locker's team Skyline and actually have talked to him several times he's a great kid! Also a team called Bellvue WA there the Valle warriors of WA they run the spread T I thought the early Freddy teams ran it well this team was awesome I think there the 7 ranked team nationally right now

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 11:23 AM

Hey BG...I also moved to Seattle from SEMO in 03. They have some pretty good ball out there although Locker went to Ferndale up north of Bellingham. And yes, Bellevue is tough along with O'Dea, Skyline, Gig Harbor, etc. It's a whole different world in Seattle, isn't it???

-- Posted by Grussman on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 12:00 PM

Oh you can say that and my bad your right he did go to Ferndale I always get that wrong for some reason maybe it's cause watched the game at skyline I don't know heck I was drinking 5 3 shot americano's just to stay insane anyways! I remember a news channel King 5 I think did a pep rally and he was there he was good! I lived in Covington area most of my time there but when I first moved there we stayed at my in laws in Redondo that's in Federal way!

I also played a lot of travel softball with teams out there. I dont know how old u are but I played with A team called Slaughter Town, another called Kings Mattress / risen athletics! Just wondering if maybe we knew a few of the same people

i say potosi desoto are out as well. more ties in other sports with "semoball schools" with PHC, freddy, farmington, and noco.

-- Posted by TheDaddy on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:03 PM

I say welcome all.. The more, the merrier.

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:07 PM

Yeah!.....except Desoto fans.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:10 PM

Haven't had any dealings with the Desoto fans lol

-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:12 PM

Why exclude Potosi and DeSoto?

-- Posted by Preacher Man Fan on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:15 PM

They dropped by for an epic forum before the Sikeston-Desoto playoff basketball game last year. Haven't seen them since and I don't feel like I've missed anything.

-- Posted by sideline starter on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:16 PM

Jefferson co. Is not Semo like I have said before I believe anything south of the jefferson co line is considered Semo! And as far as Potosi they are to far north they probably could be considered central mo there right on the edge IMO. I can't believe Freddy isn't considered Semo if Pville and St Vincent are Freddy should def be that to me is a no brainer!

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 4:48 PM

BG: I moved from Seattle to Nashville in '08 after my wife finished grad school. I actually lived in both Woodinville and Snohomish. I was just there last week on business. I do miss the awesome scenery, diversity, I even liked the weather just fine. However, I don't miss the horrible traffic and cost of living. Locker had a heckuva a day here yesterday for the Titans! Guess we're off topic of SEMO football now, aren't we?!? To that I'll just say: Go Jackson Indians (grew up there!)

-- Posted by Grussman on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 5:10 PM

That's cool my company was out of woodenville I was an operating engineer for Hos Brothers I did a lot of work at trilogy country club and the surrounding sub divisions! And yes traffic sucked but nothing like the view of Mt Rainer on a clear day it's Like it's in your backyard! As far as Jackson they have a tall task Friday night I believe Sikeston pulls this one out

-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 5:57 PM

Sounds like we were there at the same time...for me it kind of felt like living on the edge of the earth! Mt. Rainier is AWESOME. I agree...Jackson has their hands full Friday night. That said, I've really been impressed at how the coaches have helped turned things around to the point where people are even having conversations that Jackson has a shot to win. If you would've told me this time last year that Jackson would be 5-0 and successfully running the spread I'd have not believed it!!

-- Posted by Grussman on Mon, Sep 24, 2012, at 7:30 PM

hey marquand is considered a semoball school so freddy should be. that's what the no brainer is for me. that's like including perryville but not st. vincent. and i've had a few run ins with desoto fans in basketball. i don't know if any of you got to witness the "caterpillar crew" they had for a few years. if we did half the stuff at freddy that those kids did we would have been suspended!
