I'm surprised that Caruthersville is not ranked in Class 2. I also think Portageville and Jackson should at least get some consideration.

It's just the Mosports poll.. Team's down here get no love. Once Sikeston loses, IF they lose, they will drop out and never get back on. Semo teams do good to even be considered in this poll, other than Valle of course. I agree as well, Portageville and Jackson should be ranked somewhere in these polls

Who decides this poll anyway?

Who should have dropped out for Jackson and Portageville to get in? They are probably in what would be the "Other Receiving Votes" category if it existed. But it is tough to really consider the state ranking of a team who wasn't at all on the radar at the start of the season until they are around 4-0 or 5-0 or get a really signature win. Caruthersville is getting the shaft though in my opinion.

Well Sideline, Portageville has a better record than four of the teams ranked in Class 1, not to mention they are in 1st place in their district ahead of even Valle.
Same is true of Jackson. They even have a couple of 3-2 teams ranked in Class 5 ahead of the Indians.

semo teams don't get any love until about week 6 or 7 usually...

Rankings don't mean a thing. It's how you play the game that matters.

Do you think that Portagville has played level of competition that some of those other schools have. Pius, Kennet, Malden, Chaffee, Hayti,Scott City, East Prarie, Kelly JV, and NMCC? Hayti is one of the better teams on that list and they are down. I would hope P'ville could put up wins with that schedule. Having Seen both Valle and Portageville play, theres certainly a decent chance of them meet in district play but I dont see Portageville keeping it close..

NeverWasBeen quit hating bro we play the teams our coach schedules for us and we play hard so stop

NeverWasBeen, strength of schedule is not the only factor you consider in deciding these rankings. And besides, how many Class 1 schools play a killer schedule to begin with? Have you looked at the teams on Valle's schedule? Other than Ste. Gen, it's not exactly "murderer's row," now is it? So when you take into consideration all the points I made above, and the fact that Portageville has won every game by at least 2 TD's, then they deserve a place in the Top 10, IMO.

the only class one schools that really play any decent competition throughout the schedule are the ones in mid mo.

The reason some of those schools aren't undefeated is they beat up on each other. How many teams on Pvilles schedule are/or have been ranked? Everyones entitled to their opinion, Portageville might be worthy of being on that list, however Im saying they arent making it out of districts. Thats my opinion
