So you all know why I came out with Bleed's top 5! I'm hopping next year maybe Semoball will include us northern Semo teams! Wow what a week 9 we had I'm still fired after last night! And what a great night for Football! With the playoffs starting next week it's either win or go home! Can't wait so here's my top 5!!
1. SG - clearly the best team in Semo after beating a very tough Cville team last night dragons go to 8-1 and should win next 3 games! But they gotta stop the turnovers if not the PHC game will be close!
2.- Cville I love this team this team has the best chance to make it to the Dome! They are huge and boy is Monroe a beast! They will give MWood all they want! Look for this team to win a state tittle next year
3.PHC- if this team wasn't in SG Dist they would make it to quarters! But they are! They got there hands full with Freddy in 2 weeks so they better be ready!
4. Sikeston - loosing to a 4-4 class 3 team at home not good! And I'm not picking in Sikeston they better stop being one dementional or they won't make it out of Dist!!
5.jackson- the Indians are playing good ball I love there QB he's a baller they to have there hands full in Dist but I like there chances! Jackson has a bright future
You're full of crap!! You beat a depleted Caruthersville team by 1 point. Jackson, Sikeston or Cape would destroy Ste. Genevieve.
-- Posted by bulletman on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 6:18 PM
That's your opinion! There are a lot of us that would disagree! And destroy is a big word'!! IMO SG would beat Sikeston by 21 if they played a TO free game!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 6:50 PM
I don't think anyone in SEMO would destroy SG. Not with their Defense and coaching staff. Can you imagine though what it would be like if SG had the offense it had last year with Weiler and the defense you have now, BG? That'd be a scary team to play. Not taking anything away from Drury and this years Offense but last years team was just lights out. except for the first half against MRH and PHC they didn't commit penalties and very rarely turned the ball over.
-- Posted by Kzar on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 7:10 PM
No... we beat a very good depleted Caruthersville team by 1 point and won the other 7 games with our depleted roster.. intimidating isn't it.
-- Posted by SGFAN on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 7:28 PM
thank you bleed green for your compliment about our tigers SG has a good team but not what everyone had said they were I was really suprise that they did not pass more the tigers must have just as much heart and determination that they had last night to go down the road to the dome if they want to win a state title
-- Posted by tiger 77 on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 7:43 PM
No need to pass when you're Defense can't stop our running game! And without Schwent our passing game is hurting! If u were at the game you know SG fumbled 6 times they had 22 first downs to 6 for Cville the score is very mis leading SG could have easly won by a lot and if u were there u know that!! So yes they are what everyone says they are! And Cville talks about injuries but once again I will remind u that don't know SG is missing a 6'2 WR (all state) a starting LB and starting D-end!! So I think we deserve a lot more credit then what were getting
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 7:52 PM
Bleed, now you are taking it to far. The guys that you are missing are from the beginning of the year. The ones that we are missing that are major factors were injured in the last 2 weeks. You seem to be taking away from the Tigers efforts and trying to make up for it with a kind comment here and there. I did not give excuses why we lost the game, I just said it was a good game and both teams played hard and were very sportsmanlike on and off the field.
You guys had like 20 decent sized linemen warming up during pre-game festivities we had 9 and most of them are underclassmen. Your roster outnumbered ours by alot and you guys had alot of athletes and good football players.
You said that you totally dominated the game, we beat you in total yards of offense, beat you in the turnover margin you guys just made your extra point and we didn't but hell that happens every week somewhere even in the pro's. Just take your win and leave it at that you are an adult no sense in keeping the crap flowing.
-- Posted by wheresthebeef on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 8:30 PM
I'm responding to the previous comment! Did u really think I was going to just let him say they ain't what everyone said they are! Last thing I'm gonna say we beat u at your House with 6 TO! Enough said that alone speaks for its self
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 8:37 PM
That's right bleed. As wrong as it is, that's your opinion...SG couldn't score 21 against Sikeston, much less beat them by 21
-- Posted by bulletman on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 9:38 PM
Sikeston can't beat an average cardinal Ritter squad. Ste Gen would beat sikeston All dAy long. Sikeston has NEVER done squat in football.
-- Posted by caniplay on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 9:55 PM
Bleed your much more humble in person. Your online personality is way more over the top than you were in person, not sure why that is.
SG has twice the student body of Cville, tons more players on the roster. As I said before, you guys have the numbers to replace injuries here and there, we don't. Also, your TO's were caused by us, so yeah, we did stop you. We had the same amount of Td's and you were an extra point better. We had more total yards, more passing yards, about the same rushing yards, less Turnovers, if you go by the numbers, we played a much better game. But, SG won where it counts, on the scoreboard. Terranna was shut completely down by our line. SG was one blown call away from losing. OUr QB got in on 3rd down inside the 5, we have picture proof from the newspaper photographer so be happy you escaped with a win. I don't think SG will be so lucky next year against us. No need in keeping this going, both teams played hard, let's not take away from the effort from both teams. No need for negativity on here. Let's hope all Semo teams have a good showing in the playoffs. I watched the SGvsMRH game and SG has the team to compete with them as long as they win the time of possession bc they have a ton of speed on offense. I think that game will be closer than everyone thinks.

sikeston blows
-- Posted by sportsnerd on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 10:35 PM
Cheese,
You say SG was one blown call away from losing, but I think you're forgetting that there was nearly 5 minutes left on the clock when the refs apparently missed the 3rd down TD. On the ensuing drive, C-ville was unable to stop SG when they knew SG had no intention of throwing the ball. Had C-ville scored there, SG had ample time (and would have had much better field position than where they started the final drive) to drive for the winning score. SG was running the clock down and was still able to move the ball approximately 70 yards in about 3 minutes--as Dallas and the o-line just wore down the defense. Had SG been pushing the pace, they would have had a good chance of retaking the lead. Essentially, this was two good teams who did not play very well. If C-ville gets healthy and plays a mistake-free game and dominates time of possession, they have a good shot against MRH. SG will have to clean it up to get a district title. Good luck to both.
-- Posted by kools&oe on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 10:41 PM
Your right Kool. I was just assuming our D could stop you. I will say that if we were to score, we could have had momentum on our side and just maybe they would have played with a little more passion on that last drive. Lot's of if's involved but that was a blown call. Either way still a good game.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sat, Oct 20, 2012, at 10:52 PM
And the call were they said our WR caught and fumbled the ball? Ya blown call that's the only reason why Cville was down that close to the goal line! And I have proof I've watched the film! Bottom line once again we beat Cville at there house with 6 ya 6 123456 TO and u had 1 and goal on the 1 and since your line dominated us why couldn't that line get 1 yd? And I am humbling but you must of saw a different game then I did we had 11 possessions 3 TD 6 To 1 4th and 5 ball got tipped and the last possession were we ran clock out! So 3 out of the 4 possessions we didn't fumble u couldn't stop us!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Oct 21, 2012, at 8:07 AM
Wow, Bleed Green. You, young man, have a great memory of the game I saw. Cville couldn't stop SG but turnovers did. Cville's linemen must get healthy or they won't beat MRH period. Right now their linemen didn't open up any holes the other night as 99% of their rushing yds came on jet options or speed options, whatever you call them. When Cville ran back across Center on counter actions, they were smoothered. I like Cville as they have a few really good players but right now, not enough to take over a very undisciplined MRH team. M/Opinion

St. Gen could not compete with Sikeston, Cape Central, or Jackson. You obviously have no idea about football and are basing everything on you are from St. Gen.
-- Posted by jaxindians2010 on Sun, Oct 21, 2012, at 12:06 PM
Ste Gen would beat cape and Jackson almost every year. This is the 1st time Jackson has even been competitive in years. Trying winning a few games there at Jackson before you run the yapper.
-- Posted by caniplay on Sun, Oct 21, 2012, at 3:43 PM
Let's ask Cheese and Beef! And other Cville fans! I can guarantee u that SG would beat cape 10 out of 10 and same for Jackson and SG would beat Sikeston 9 out of 10 haha haha! Sikeston lost to cardinal Ritter a 4-4 team a class 3 4-4 team!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Oct 21, 2012, at 3:43 PM
BG just wondering what was SG record last year?
-- Posted by TFA on Sun, Oct 21, 2012, at 4:12 PM

Caniplay you are completely wrong. You honestly think St. Gen would beat Jackson and cape almost every year? You are out of your mind. You don't know much about football if you think that.

SG was 10-3 lost to Dexter week 1 and JB twice

SG is better than Cape I would say. They would compete with Jackson and Sikeston but I think that both of those teams would beat them more times than not. Sikeston and SG have the same issue. They turn the ball over way too much. Sikeston has a better defense though and I don't think the offense is really significantly worse. They just shoot themselves in the foot by carelessly carrying the ball. Also, bleed green is still nothing more than a homer.
