With the first round in the books my top 5 are clearly the class of Semo! Not only are these teams good but they are great programs as well! I really believe that Semo will win 2 maybe 3 state titles next year! But we still gotta finish this year I believe we have a great chance of winning 2 but most likely one! I would like to wish all Semo teams luck this Wednesday (except NMCC)!! With that being said here's my top 5
1.SG- after talking this team up all year I truly believe u guys know I was not hyping them up! Once again the BIG PLAY is there problem they played ok against a up and coming Kennet team but IMO they have not played up to there potential! Oh and don't think Coach Stotzer dosnt remember the last time we played NMCC! Does not look good for eagles!!
2. Sikeston- bulldogs can play the Jv again this week after the half! There offense is starting to click and if that continues they will be at top of my poll again! Look for Sikeston to make quarters but will have there hands full! I think it depends on we're the game is played! But have a descent shot at Semi's
3. Cville- this team will be the best team in Semo next year barring injuries! I believe they will shock the state of MO and make it to the Dome! Big keys are injuries though if they get healthy skies the limit that I guarantee!!
4.Phc- although I believe there season ends Wednesday the rebels have had a great year! If not for a 1 point loss to SG they could of easly been the 1 seed and had an easy path to finals but instead they will get a very tough and a revengeful Freddy team!!
5. Freddy- if Greminger had a big time receiver he would be an Allstate QB! Freddy's biggest weapon is Greminger and that does not bold well for them! I do believe they will take it to PHC and earn a trip back to SG!
This will be my last top 5 thanks to all but I do leave u with my top 5 for next year
I agree, Caruthersville will be totally loaded next year. Don't know much about what the other teams have coming back.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 4:13 PM
Depending on which NMCC teams shows up I believe this could be the second shoot out IMO
-- Posted by thekidfrankie on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 5:26 PM
What shoot out! Have u seen SG defense? They will be lucky to score 14 points!!

The only team that you even listed that plays in the SEMO area is Sikeston! Caruthersville close but pretty much the bootheel. Everyone else you listed plays in or near the Parkhills/Mineral area...
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 5:43 PM
I have to agree with Bleed on this. SG is pretty tough on defense. If my memory serves me right, they have only allowed one person to rush for over 100 yards this year and that's Darrell Monroe. Running on these guys is pretty tough. SG's line will be the difference in this game. As I always say though, anything can happen, never count a team out.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 5:44 PM
Jackson will be the top team in SEMO in 2013. They only lose a few starters off the team.
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 5:44 PM
Caruthersville is considered Semo btw
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 5:44 PM
72-52
-- Posted by Pete Czeria on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 6:07 PM
Thats the year SG didnt play D,think it will be alot harder to put 72 on them this year.
-- Posted by hb1025 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 6:14 PM
IMO Cville will be they return everyone and I'm telling u if u think SG is good this year next yr they will b even better! And with JB loosing everyone SG will b team to beat on this side!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 6:17 PM
I know they are considered but in reality they play in the bootheel.. I like them though they always have speed and they are disciplined
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 6:18 PM
Your the only person ive ever heard say Caruthersville is not Semo. Last time I checked, the bootheel is considered Semo.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 6:34 PM
Jackson is going to be really good next year. I would say they would be my top team in the early parts of next season. Sikeston, Caruthersville, and Ste. Gen are all going to be really good again as well but Jackson with a full year of the Eckley system under their belt would be my opening number one.
-- Posted by sideline starter on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 6:57 PM
Guys this is same team that lost by 40 to Valle and 48 to Freddy!! Yes they won there Last 2 games but against who a very Overated Portagville team 1A and a bad potosi team that was banged up! And they barely beat beat them!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 7:08 PM
Im starting to think that bleed green is the greatest Internet troll of all time, he has said some pretty questionable things that have gotten people riled up all season, but saying that he thinks ste gen is gonna win a state title, for the lack of a better way of putting it, almost made me **** my pants!!! :'D
-- Posted by BillShakespeare on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 7:15 PM
BAM! Random Geography Lesson (ahhhhhhhhhh insert jazz hands) SEMO stands for southeast Missouri, the bootheel is the southy eastyest you can get in Missouri, therefore, SEMO.

Dang Bleed your comments are blowing up my newsfeed and all over Facebook here in New Madrid. Pictures of them and everything Hahahaha!
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 7:28 PM
Just stating the obvious and if they need my comments to fire them up that's pretty pathetic!!!

@ BillShakespeare... I lmao at your post
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 7:47 PM
Oh is that why we are getting new posters off Facebook? If I was to post anything on my fb page most of my friends would not know what I was talking about.
-- Posted by TFA on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 7:51 PM
Bleed's dreaming that Gremminger doesn't have a serious receiver. He's got two!
-- Posted by mojo3 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 8:44 PM
Hope you're correct, but can't really see how you would think it's cut and dried Ste. Gen. & C'Ville will either (or both) win state titles. Like I said, fingers crossed you're right!
-- Posted by semo7178 on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 9:21 PM
Yeah I agree with you there. I know Caruthersville will be loaded next year and most of the great teams in class 2 are senior heavy this year but winning class 2 will still be tough. I do like our chances though next year, but not going out on a limb and saying we are going to win it all just yet
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 9:24 PM
BG is full of it.
-- Posted by zachattack on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 10:07 PM
Look, I'll be the first one to call BG a relentless homer, but all of you saying NMCC is going to or has a chance to beat St. Gen. is ridiculous. I am not going to use the same language I did about the Dexter-Fredericktown game, but come'on man!!!
-- Posted by Jolly Dump on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 10:51 PM
Jolly, you said "all of you", I ask you to name one person on this thread that said NMCC is going to or has a chance to beat SG!? Come'on man right back in your face!
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 11:17 PM
Its either Goin to be a st Gen blowout or nmcc loses 28 14 but either way st Gen wins... the only reason it would be close is if st Gen doesnt play their best
-- Posted by Sonic-The-Hedgehog on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 11:28 PM
The Eagles won the game by capitalizing on Potosi's sloppiness and making plays when they had to.
That's football.
There's always a chance that NMCC could roll into SG and play some really good football, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
-- Posted by zachattack on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 11:40 PM
Greatest Internet Troll of all time, lol.
-- Posted by Kzar on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 11:46 PM
Buck my comments were not directed toward so please pull the panties from your anus. I said of "all of you" pertaining to the ones (kidfrankie, jebbie, a few others) that made comments about Nmcc. As far as you go, you are delusional if you think my comments were aimed at you. Grow up and and again pull that wad of panties free Bucko! Come'on right back in your face!
-- Posted by Jolly Dump on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 11:47 PM
I knew they werent directed at me Dumpy. I just feel like you try to get on every thread and start stuff. People saying they have fire, or that they are being hated on, isn't saying they are going to win. Everyone on here knows NMCC is a HUGE underdog in this game. I was just calling you on it, cause no one was being ridiculous but you for trying to start stuff. Bucko, seriously!? What are you trying to go all bearcat on us haha!? Come'on doublely right back in your face!
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Sun, Oct 28, 2012, at 11:54 PM
Buck, sometimes exploiting overconfidence can be the best game strategy. I know Coach Stolzer will be beating it (not literally) out of them, but there may be just enough still in the back of the mind for Coach Pixley to exploit...
-- Posted by mojo3 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:10 AM
This is fun!! Haha I can't believe we are wasting out time talking about this game! We should be talking about Freddy at PHC! That's by far best game of the week! And yes Buck if SG plays like they did against Cville they could loose but I doubt that happens!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:21 AM
Almost sounded like another slap at Caruthersville, BG! Lol.. I don't see Ste. Gen having any real problem. It may be close for a quarter or so, but not for very long.
-- Posted by Spike Lee Corso on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:38 AM
I'm just glad they made it this far haha. I think the program may be starting a turn around. Already won 4x as many games as last year. I could see us winning even more next year, maybe getting wins over malden and charleston then.
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:42 AM
Yeah! Caruthersville had nothing to do with them fumbles! They didn't strip any of them out, they just fell out on their own. I'd like to think Caruthersville had a little something to do with the way SG played but I could be wrong. Anywho, SG shouldn't have a problem with NMCC. Should be over with at half. I'm telling you though, #20 for NMCC is the real deal on both sides. SG will have to keep him in check or he will eat them up.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:45 AM
I'm not going down that road Again who won? Simple enough
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 9:44 AM
The best game of the week Bleed Green will definitely be Cape Central @ Sikeston this week! I believe Cape Central could take the win this time.
Also we are tired of hearing St. Gen is the best team in the SEMO area. For one they aren't even in either SEMO North or South Conference. They dont play a heavy loaded schedule and when you can get your coach to play Sikeston, Cape Central, Sikeston, or any 5A school and St. Gen can beat any of those schools then lets just keep quiet about you having the best team. You assume way to much and embarrass yourself.
-- Posted by jaxindians2010 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 10:00 AM
We already established SG is in Semo were u been? Second SG would destroy cape and Jackson both teams are very Overated! Especially Jackson! Third we play a very strong schedule Phc Freddy MWood Cville and usually dexter but not this year! Jackson and cape would loose to all 4 of these teams 90% of the time. But thanks for your comments and don't worry about me embarrassing myself Im usually right slot more then I'm wrong
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 10:28 AM
Bleed Green your the only one that has established that SG plays in SEMO. Like jaxindians said you do NOT play in either the SEMO North or South conferences! Everybody else on here has told you all year long your wrong and also very biased... The Fact is your a 3A school.. 95% of the time SG would not beat a 4A school or a 5A or 6A school.. My $$ is that SG loses to PHC next week. You talk about how tough your schedule was/is.. blah blah blah.. overall the combined total of the teams you have played is 50-51.. that's a game BELOW .500! Yes you played Maplewood and they beat you barely but that's still a loss, CVille is a Class 2A school.. YOUR SUPPOSED TO BEAT SMALLER SCHOOLS, even though they were ranked pretty high at the time! same with Valle who is 1A yes their good every year but that doesn't change your still 2 classes bigger! Stop being so biased because in reality if SG was class 4A they would be a .500 ball club and wouldn't be able to play those 1A and 2A schools..
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 10:56 AM
If Sikeston turns it over less than 2 times, they will win and probably by 2 TD's or more. If they turn it over more than that, it could be close. Cape is a run-heavy team and Sikeston's run D is awesome. There will be no weather elements in which to contend like there was the first Cape-Sikeston game (40 degrees, 30 mph wind, and raining sideways). Cape throws it 10 times or less a game.
Besides, Mr. Martin for Cape Central has provided a little bulletin board material for the Dogs. That doesn't bode well for the Tigers....IMO.
-- Posted by Rocket689 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 10:59 AM
I've established SG is in fact in the SE Missouri area, multiple times in fact. Also SG isn't that good compared to teams in any other part of the state and will NOT win a state championship next year, or probably under Stoltzer/Wieler regime(I say that because of the atheletes not because of the coaching) or even my lifetime
-- Posted by BillShakespeare on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:14 AM
I still don't know why players give the opposing team bulletin board material for. It just surprises me people do that.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:18 AM
I really don't either, Cheese. It seems like you would just be quiet and get ready to play. I totally agree with you!
-- Posted by Rocket689 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:21 AM
I have no idea how anyone could say what Chris said is a diss to Sikeston but that's just me. I guess you are interpreting it to say that Cape is going to win but that certainly isn't what he said. Cape will show up and will play tough. I think Sikeston wins but it won't be based on what Chis said.
-- Posted by bulletman on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:24 AM
@BillShakespeare.. they do not play in the SEMO North or South Conferences... Theses are the teams in SG conference. Perryville be the only team close to the SEMO area, and they don't play in the SEMO conference!
Central (Park Hills, MO)
Maplewood-Richmond Heights (Maplewood, MO)
Perryville (MO)
Fredericktown (MO
Ste. Genevieve (MO)
Potosi (MO)
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:26 AM
Ste Gen is the only team that has had one bad year in about the last 20. They are competitive EVERY single year. Can any Semo team say that? Jackson was awful for several years. Sikeston has been OK for the past few and that is it. Cville is a good program, but thats it. SG is class 3 school. So saying they should play class 4 and 5 schools is a pointless arguement. They have left a little on the table a few years but have over achieved many many years. There is not a better football program in the state from Jefferson County to Southeast Missouri, well except Valle.
-- Posted by caniplay on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:36 AM
Oh my word you people are making two different arguments. If we are talking about football, no St. Gen is not in a SEMO conferance. If we are talking physically and geographically located in the SouthEast part of Missouri, all of those schools are except Maplewood.
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:38 AM
No they don't but SG is n Semo and that's all I've been saying all season!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:41 AM
caniplay, in my professional opinion we need to get you checked out for memory loss. Jackson was "awful" for several years you say? By my count, they were bad for three years. Prior to that they were BY FAR the best team in the area nearly every year for about 15 years. Sikeston had a bad five-year stretch, but prior to that they were a consistent, sometimes dominant program for decades. But yes, they have been "OK" for the past few with a 43-6 record the last four years.
-- Posted by semohoops on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 11:51 AM
It is easy to accumulate a good record against bad teams - and there are plenty of bad teams in SEMO area.
-- Posted by Bogey Man on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 12:23 PM
Buckmajor I'm talking football... SG is clearly in the southeast Missouri area.. its a hop skip jump right up I-55
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 12:23 PM
I wouldn't say geographically (not football) that Potosi, PHC, Maplewood or Fredricktown aren't SEMO.. I'd say they are Park Hills area/Mineral Area located
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 12:27 PM
@Caniplay.... You clearly don't know what your talking about! Like Semohoops said Jackson was the most dominant team in the SEMO area the last 15 years! Yes the last three were bad but just wait next year thy will be the best team in SEMO if not in the state.. Sikeston has always had a good program with the exception of a few years...
@Bogey man. What bad trams are you referring too because over the last 15 years Jackson and Sikeston have dominated the area. (With the exception of a few years for each program) Cape Central has been competitive along with Farmington. Yes I know this year Cape is down as well as Farmington but they are still competitive!
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 12:34 PM
Hey rocket, where can one read capes comments about the sikeston game? They scare me cuz theyve been in every game except jb, who by the way would trounce the dragons by 5tds. Sorry bleed!
-- Posted by cirithungol17 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 12:37 PM
Yeah i agree, you were right about football, just some people were arguing geographically, so everyone was making different points. Wouldn't say they aren't!? Well I said maplewood wasn't, potosi is the only debatable one, they are Washington county which most consider SEMO. Fredericktown is Madison county, that's SEMO. Park Hills is St. Francois county, which is SEMO.
-- Posted by BuckMajor on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 12:39 PM
ciri---It's in the article about the game against Festus. It's the last sentence in the article..."All I can say is we're coming," said Martin, who missed the earlier meeting with Sikeston because of his ankle injury...Doesn't seem like a big deal to me but apparently it can be used as bulletin board material..
-- Posted by bulletman on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 1:24 PM
What a cluster of a thread.
-- Posted by sideline starter on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 1:27 PM
Anything can be used as bulletin board material and used in any way a coach sees fit. Sometimes it doesn't take much. And every football coach in the United States does it. If they don't have anything, they make something up.
-- Posted by semohoops on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 1:30 PM
I think Sikeston wins this week. They have been more consistent and seem to be rolling. But it wont be a blowout by any means. I think it will be a close game. Cape will have to stop Sikeston's running attack while having a good running game of there own to pull off the upset. Both teams relies heavily on there running games. In the end Sikeston's D will make the difference.
-- Posted by oldschoolbballer on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 1:57 PM
It's that time again...
It's only different now because MARTIN will make Sikeston wish he was still unable to play.
Cape Central 21
Sikeston 12
We are looking forward to advancing to play Hillsboro on Saturday!!!
-- Posted by CapeFan1 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 2:21 PM
If Cape were to win, the game would be on Monday Nov 5.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 2:30 PM
Semo--I agree but Gibbs doesn't need to make things up to get Sikeston ready. Sideline---I also agree with you. This thread has become a "cluster"
-- Posted by bulletman on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 2:44 PM
Semohoops, so 3 would be what? Oh we have been great except 3 years. So that equates to whAt term in your mind? Football in southeast Missouri is bad. Sikeston is a great example. They get of Semo and get worked. Farmtowns best years have been when they joined the semo conference. They had more trouble beating Valle and ste Gen than they do those big bad Jackson Indians and cape tigers. And nobody wanted to play SG including Jackson. Ste Gen had to schedule Burroughs, westminister, Beaumont and others in St Louis because they had trouble finding games in big bad southeast missouri. I give cville credit for playing SG. Do something with your program and I will maybe listen.
-- Posted by caniplay on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 4:48 PM
@Caniplay okay lets end your argument right there. Jackson cant not play down a class due to the new system either the exceptions of conference games so we will never see each other play unless a new system comes along.
@CapeFan1 If Cape wins its because of turnovers and turnovers only. Those are two very matched teams. As a Jackson fan i do gotta say go Cape Central!
-- Posted by jaxindians2010 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 5:14 PM
I also got to say Jackson is ranked a few thousand higher in the National Rankings compared to St. Gen. You can check this out on maxpreps.com
-- Posted by jaxindians2010 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 5:19 PM
Seriously guys I've seen Jackson play 2 times SG would beat them every time and cape is even worse! I might b a homer but I know football and I know SG and there going to b really good for the next several Years especially next yr with JB loosing everyone SG is clearly the favorite to make it to the dome from this side! Oh and by the way I'm a HOMER
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 5:23 PM
@caniplay.... If you wanna go that route Jackson has to schedule mostly St. Louis schools and a powerhouse of a 6A school in Columbia Hickman (who Jackson hung with and only lost by 14) because teams won't play them... Think before you speak because in this case you clearly didn't.
@Bleed Green who have you seen Jackson play? SG would not hang with Columbia Hickman (6A school and a powerhouse).. SG would lose that game by 21 or more!
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 7:00 PM
How do u know that? I know u haven't seen us play! I saw film of Jackson vs Sikeston and Jackson vs cape!! Saw enough to know your ok but you guys are Overated! Very beatable your D is lacking some experience and your offense is very stale IMO!! Although I do like your QB!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 7:36 PM
This thread continues to just be a cluster of, primarily, illogical ramblings.
-- Posted by sideline starter on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:35 PM
Bleed Green once again you fail... Jackson has a new QB now and now we all know your full of s&$%... The only way you would see film on Jackson vs Sikeston and Cape is if you were a coach. I know for a fact Coach Eckley would not give up game film to some fan from SG..
We were all right.. Bleed Green is a HOMER and probably a high school student there..
I also agree with Sideline starter... This thread is a cluster of rambles now due to Bleed Green being a HOMER high school student!
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:42 PM
Hate to prove you wrong footballfan29 but the Sikeston-Jackson and Jackson-Cape games were on the KFVS 12 webcast and they are archived so anyone can watch them.
-- Posted by sideline starter on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 8:44 PM
Columbia Hickman is a 6A power? Maybe in Jackson.
And Jackson has been in the playoff twice in 10 years I believe and won 6 games in 3 years!!!
And thats a proud program?
-- Posted by caniplay on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 9:07 PM
There's a lot of people on this post who need to learn about these before they try to make another point of contention.
-- Posted by sideline starter on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 9:18 PM
@Caniplay... Look past the last three years and Jackson has always been a contender.. the last three years does not solidify an argument of how good Jackson's program is or was..
@Sideline Starter... Anyone can watch film and say they can break down this or that, judge a how good a defense is, who missed what assignments, where the guard is pulling so and so forth.. but if Bleed Green loves his/her team as biased as he/her is then we know he/she didn't watch those games live on Webcast and know one unless the have NO life at all would go back and watch an archived (HIGH SCHOOL) football game..
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 9:26 PM
Also @caniplay.... For you to not say Columbia Hickman is not a power 6A school you don't know what your talking about ans are as biased and probably a high school student at SG as well taking up for Bleed Green... They are the biggest school district in the state, have the one of the most populated schools as well and their record in football onver the last numeroous years speaks for itself... They are ranked #10 best team in the whole state per maxpreps.com.
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 9:30 PM
You sure like maxpreps. Has maxpreps ever played a game? 6 wins in 3 years. Enough said. Somebody needs to let you know that just because you have a large population that does not equal quality. But but but maxpreps says it does mista!!
-- Posted by caniplay on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 10:07 PM
See @caniplay.. now we all know your a kid because your very immature. Jackson has more wins, more conference and district championships and they have been to the State Finals more than SG! In 1996 and 1997 Jackson placed 2nd in 4A and in 2001 they were ranked #4 in Class 5A and in 2002 they made it to the Quarter Finals in Class 5A also in 2007 and 2008 Jackson placed 4th in Class 5A.. 3A SG has done what...? It's ok will wait.. oh and I didn't find that on maxpreps
-- Posted by footballfan29 on Mon, Oct 29, 2012, at 10:25 PM
I may be a kid but just check your facts. If Jackson has been to the state title game twice. Which I only remember one. And ste Gen has also been there twice and actually won....well that would be advantage ste Gen. And you just named four years Jackson has done anything in the playoffs. Might want to look at ste Gen history for years they have not. Maybe 3 in the last 15. So again thanks for playing. How again have them last 3 years been? And winning the semo conference is something to boast about? In your words bigger schools should win. That's your statement!! Check those district titles and let me know what you find

This reminds me of the bball posts and some people bring up the records from the past.

How about this guys.. Stop talking about St. Gen and Jackson and who is better. They don't play each other so we won't ever find out. If you want to find out I guess you all can call the players and have them play a touch football game. You all wear out a subject. Bleed Green, I will say at least you take up for your team even unlike some people who only root for their team when they're winning although you push the limit sometime haha. Caniplay Jackson has been to the finals twice and lost both. Who cares. You all should be rooting for each team in the area to win a state title.

Yes I do! But I'm getting better Preach and Cheese are rubbing of on me!! Oh and I wish I was a kid again just goes to show some people don't have a clue everyone knows im an old washed up ex player with 4 kids that scored on Freddy in 1995! Haha

Redhawk appreciate you letting me know who my rooting interests should be. And I believe I'm just finishing what got started.

The majority of the posts on here are idiotic at best! No one knows who would beat whom unless they actually played a game.
According to BG, SG can beat anyone and they are and will be the best team for years to come. He supports his team like no other and leaves himself open to comments, because if his team doesn't win, will he be able to handle the wrath that semoballers will cast on him? Probably because he is as big a HOMER as blugold is in Scott City basketball. He loves stirring the pot and he loves it when people go back and forth with him. Wouldn't you love to see this guy coach in youth football! Wait I don't think he has time because he is watching film and posting on semoball!
Sikeston has been and will continue to be a good team with the coaching that they have. Love them or hate them, they will be there.
Jackson has a long history of good football and will surpass the 600 win mark for football wins in the next few years and there aren't many teams that have done that in the state of Missouri. They have exceeded expectations IMO with this new coach in his first year. It does take a little while to learn a system and with the leadership they have had over the past few years it will take a bit of time to get the kids hearts back into it the way that it was in the past. This year will go a long way in helping that out.
C-ville is good and will be better.
Cape Central has had their ups and downs, not sure why but there seems to be a thinning out of their sports programs as kids seem not to want to play in multiple sports as kids used to do.
If ND had football I'm sure they would figure out how to drain the local public schools of talent and then they would be a big winner as they have done in all of their other sports.
What it all boils down to is if a team from our area brings home any state title should we not be proud of that fact? I don't know any of you people that post on here and may not like you if I did! But if your team brought a title back to this side and corner of the state. I would be very happy for them.
Support our local teams because the fact is we don't play in the same classes and more than likely never will. It's playoff time! Get on the bandwagon for all of our teams and hope they all win in their respective classes!

I can handle it trust me! The only crap u can give me is if we loose to NMCC! There is no shame loosing to JB or PHC!! Or Freddy sorry Freddy fans!! But trust me we will meet JB in 2 weeks and we might just shock the WORLD!!!
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 8:43 AM
Bleed is no worse than anyone else on here. He is just a little more vocal than most. I think we all have a little "Homer" in us. Some not as passionate as others but we all are homers in some way. I hope Semo brings home at least 1 state title, even if it's not Cville. This time of year it should be Semo vs The other parts of Missouri. We should want the very best team in each class to represent us in the playoffs and I beleive Sikeston,SG,Caruthersville,Valle are the very best in their class in Semo. That's not a knock on the other teams, I just feel them teams give us a better chance at winning.
-- Posted by Cheesehead. on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 8:49 AM
BG you would surprise me if you spelled LOSE correctly. There are only a few things that come to my mind when I see the word loose, and football is not one of them.
-- Posted by wheresthebeef on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 9:07 AM
Teams in this area that have success SG,Sikeston and others have one thing in common. A very good head coach and staff. Its not always about having the most athletic kids. Its about being able to get the most out of the talent you have. Programs that have success have coaches that do that. Now bleed green says Jackson is over rated and Jackson fans got mad and things got out of hand. But the truth is he wasn't completely wrong. Coach Ec said in the pre season he excepted around a 500 season. I wouldn't call them overrated but would say they achieved above everyone's expectations. The last three years were terrible for Jackson. Everyone knows this but it wasn't for lack of talent as much as lack of coaches. This is a young team with allot of talented kids coming up for years to come. I believe that they have a very good coach and staff that will only make this team better.
-- Posted by oldschoolbballer on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 10:27 AM
Completely agree about the coaching staffs! Sikeston and SG both are awesome
-- Posted by Bleed Green on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 10:58 AM
I think all but 2 are different coaches on the staff at Jackson. What, now all of a sudden these guys can coach? They were young the last few years. Yes Coach Eckley has done a very good job...but Jackson would have been better with our without a new coach. Now I am not saying that they would be where they are now with Hitt still coaching. But I think they would have been at least 4-4. I will say this is that the offense they have been trying to run the last few years is what Eckley is known for. So the addition of that knowledge has helped tremendously. I look for both Cape and Jackson to keep getting better in the next few years. I heard Cape has a good Freshman team but their 8th grade was very good. We will see in a few years how those grades pan out. How is Jackson's lower grades?
-- Posted by NewTigerFan on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 11:27 AM
Trust me when I say that Jackson has been bad from a lack of talent now the coaching didnt help but Jackson has not been very talented the last few years and what little talent they've had is young
-- Posted by Sonic-The-Hedgehog on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 11:57 AM
I don't believe you can blame player talent for the 3 bad seasons under coach Hitt. There were allot of discipline problems on his teams. For what ever reason he was always benching kids for bad behavior. To me that's a product of his leadership. Allot of those same boys are still there and I don't think that has been a problem this year. Talent means allot as does injuries in every program. But finding a way to win with what you have and have kids believe in you is what separates wining programs and loosing one. Of course injuries hurt any program and can change a whole season. For what ever reason I don't think the kids ever bought into coach Hitt's program.
Jackson freshman class is very good with allot of talent. I think the 7th grade class is better then the 8th grade. Lots of speed in the 7th grade class. But that's just my opinion.
-- Posted by oldschoolbballer on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 1:51 PM
I think the freshman last game Sikeston had was with Cape and we won but I was surprised because they were some big boys but I think our JV lost to their JV that night. Yep it was I went and looked at schedule
-- Posted by TFA on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 2:05 PM
Ok my bad ya were talking about Jackson for some strange reason I was thinking Cape. Sorry
-- Posted by TFA on Tue, Oct 30, 2012, at 2:07 PM
yea... SG is in semo... if farmington is, then SG is. if farmington is, then fredericktown is. MDC considers fredericktown and sg semo. so more than just BG thinks we are in semo.
-- Posted by TheDaddy on Sun, Nov 4, 2012, at 3:32 PM
Ste Genevieve and Jackson used to play. we played for 4 seasons and guess what we were 0-4...my senior year we went 9-1. yep the 1 was Jackson. cost us a trip to the playoffs that year while a Team we beat "potosi" went. they got smoked first round...

This will be my last top 5 thanks to all but I do leave u with my top 5 for next year
1. Cville- State Title
2.SG- State Title
3.Sikeston
4.jackson
5. Cape
Replies
I agree, Caruthersville will be totally loaded next year. Don't know much about what the other teams have coming back.
Depending on which NMCC teams shows up I believe this could be the second shoot out IMO
What shoot out! Have u seen SG defense? They will be lucky to score 14 points!!
Jackson will be the top team in SEMO in 2013. They only lose a few starters off the team.
Caruthersville is considered Semo btw
72-52
Thats the year SG didnt play D,think it will be alot harder to put 72 on them this year.
IMO Cville will be they return everyone and I'm telling u if u think SG is good this year next yr they will b even better! And with JB loosing everyone SG will b team to beat on this side!!
I know they are considered but in reality they play in the bootheel.. I like them though they always have speed and they are disciplined
Your the only person ive ever heard say Caruthersville is not Semo. Last time I checked, the bootheel is considered Semo.
Jackson is going to be really good next year. I would say they would be my top team in the early parts of next season. Sikeston, Caruthersville, and Ste. Gen are all going to be really good again as well but Jackson with a full year of the Eckley system under their belt would be my opening number one.
Guys this is same team that lost by 40 to Valle and 48 to Freddy!! Yes they won there Last 2 games but against who a very Overated Portagville team 1A and a bad potosi team that was banged up! And they barely beat beat them!
Im starting to think that bleed green is the greatest Internet troll of all time, he has said some pretty questionable things that have gotten people riled up all season, but saying that he thinks ste gen is gonna win a state title, for the lack of a better way of putting it, almost made me **** my pants!!! :'D
BAM! Random Geography Lesson (ahhhhhhhhhh insert jazz hands) SEMO stands for southeast Missouri, the bootheel is the southy eastyest you can get in Missouri, therefore, SEMO.
I'm loving all this hate on us. Hahahaha
NMCC is playing with a new fire under their butts.
Dang Bleed your comments are blowing up my newsfeed and all over Facebook here in New Madrid. Pictures of them and everything Hahahaha!
Just stating the obvious and if they need my comments to fire them up that's pretty pathetic!!!
@ BillShakespeare... I lmao at your post
Oh is that why we are getting new posters off Facebook? If I was to post anything on my fb page most of my friends would not know what I was talking about.
Bleed's dreaming that Gremminger doesn't have a serious receiver. He's got two!
Hope you're correct, but can't really see how you would think it's cut and dried Ste. Gen. & C'Ville will either (or both) win state titles. Like I said, fingers crossed you're right!
Yeah I agree with you there. I know Caruthersville will be loaded next year and most of the great teams in class 2 are senior heavy this year but winning class 2 will still be tough. I do like our chances though next year, but not going out on a limb and saying we are going to win it all just yet
BG is full of it.
Look, I'll be the first one to call BG a relentless homer, but all of you saying NMCC is going to or has a chance to beat St. Gen. is ridiculous. I am not going to use the same language I did about the Dexter-Fredericktown game, but come'on man!!!
Jolly, you said "all of you", I ask you to name one person on this thread that said NMCC is going to or has a chance to beat SG!? Come'on man right back in your face!
Its either Goin to be a st Gen blowout or nmcc loses 28 14 but either way st Gen wins... the only reason it would be close is if st Gen doesnt play their best
The Eagles won the game by capitalizing on Potosi's sloppiness and making plays when they had to.
That's football.
There's always a chance that NMCC could roll into SG and play some really good football, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
Greatest Internet Troll of all time, lol.
Buck, sometimes exploiting overconfidence can be the best game strategy. I know Coach Stolzer will be beating it (not literally) out of them, but there may be just enough still in the back of the mind for Coach Pixley to exploit...
This is fun!! Haha I can't believe we are wasting out time talking about this game! We should be talking about Freddy at PHC! That's by far best game of the week! And yes Buck if SG plays like they did against Cville they could loose but I doubt that happens!
Almost sounded like another slap at Caruthersville, BG! Lol.. I don't see Ste. Gen having any real problem. It may be close for a quarter or so, but not for very long.
I'm just glad they made it this far haha. I think the program may be starting a turn around. Already won 4x as many games as last year. I could see us winning even more next year, maybe getting wins over malden and charleston then.
I'm not going down that road Again who won? Simple enough
I still don't know why players give the opposing team bulletin board material for. It just surprises me people do that.
I really don't either, Cheese. It seems like you would just be quiet and get ready to play. I totally agree with you!
I have no idea how anyone could say what Chris said is a diss to Sikeston but that's just me. I guess you are interpreting it to say that Cape is going to win but that certainly isn't what he said. Cape will show up and will play tough. I think Sikeston wins but it won't be based on what Chis said.
@BillShakespeare.. they do not play in the SEMO North or South Conferences... Theses are the teams in SG conference. Perryville be the only team close to the SEMO area, and they don't play in the SEMO conference!
Central (Park Hills, MO)
Maplewood-Richmond Heights (Maplewood, MO)
Perryville (MO)
Fredericktown (MO
Ste. Genevieve (MO)
Potosi (MO)
Ste Gen is the only team that has had one bad year in about the last 20. They are competitive EVERY single year. Can any Semo team say that? Jackson was awful for several years. Sikeston has been OK for the past few and that is it. Cville is a good program, but thats it. SG is class 3 school. So saying they should play class 4 and 5 schools is a pointless arguement. They have left a little on the table a few years but have over achieved many many years. There is not a better football program in the state from Jefferson County to Southeast Missouri, well except Valle.
Oh my word you people are making two different arguments. If we are talking about football, no St. Gen is not in a SEMO conferance. If we are talking physically and geographically located in the SouthEast part of Missouri, all of those schools are except Maplewood.
No they don't but SG is n Semo and that's all I've been saying all season!
caniplay, in my professional opinion we need to get you checked out for memory loss.
It is easy to accumulate a good record against bad teams - and there are plenty of bad teams in SEMO area.
Buckmajor I'm talking football... SG is clearly in the southeast Missouri area.. its a hop skip jump right up I-55
I wouldn't say geographically (not football) that Potosi, PHC, Maplewood or Fredricktown aren't SEMO.. I'd say they are Park Hills area/Mineral Area located
Hey rocket, where can one read capes comments about the sikeston game? They scare me cuz theyve been in every game except jb, who by the way would trounce the dragons by 5tds. Sorry bleed!
Francois county, which is SEMO.
ciri---It's in the article about the game against Festus. It's the last sentence in the article..."All I can say is we're coming," said Martin, who missed the earlier meeting with Sikeston because of his ankle injury...Doesn't seem like a big deal to me but apparently it can be used as bulletin board material..
What a cluster of a thread.
Anything can be used as bulletin board material and used in any way a coach sees fit. Sometimes it doesn't take much. And every football coach in the United States does it. If they don't have anything, they make something up.
It's that time again...
It's only different now because MARTIN will make Sikeston wish he was still unable to play.
Cape Central 21
Sikeston 12
We are looking forward to advancing to play Hillsboro on Saturday!!!
If Cape were to win, the game would be on Monday Nov 5.
Semo--I agree but Gibbs doesn't need to make things up to get Sikeston ready. Sideline---I also agree with you. This thread has become a "cluster"
I also got to say Jackson is ranked a few thousand higher in the National Rankings compared to St. Gen. You can check this out on maxpreps.com
This thread continues to just be a cluster of, primarily, illogical ramblings.
Hate to prove you wrong footballfan29 but the Sikeston-Jackson and Jackson-Cape games were on the KFVS 12 webcast and they are archived so anyone can watch them.
Columbia Hickman is a 6A power? Maybe in Jackson.
And Jackson has been in the playoff twice in 10 years I believe and won 6 games in 3 years!!!
And thats a proud program?
There's a lot of people on this post who need to learn about these before they try to make another point of contention.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fal...
You sure like maxpreps. Has maxpreps ever played a game? 6 wins in 3 years. Enough said. Somebody needs to let you know that just because you have a large population that does not equal quality. But but but maxpreps says it does mista!!
You're welcome. Anytime you need anything just let me know
The majority of the posts on here are idiotic at best!
BG you would surprise me if you spelled LOSE correctly. There are only a few things that come to my mind when I see the word loose, and football is not one of them.
Completely agree about the coaching staffs! Sikeston and SG both are awesome
Trust me when I say that Jackson has been bad from a lack of talent now the coaching didnt help but Jackson has not been very talented the last few years and what little talent they've had is young
I think the freshman last game Sikeston had was with Cape and we won but I was surprised because they were some big boys but I think our JV lost to their JV that night. Yep it was I went and looked at schedule
Ok my bad ya were talking about Jackson for some strange reason I was thinking Cape. Sorry
yea... SG is in semo... if farmington is, then SG is. if farmington is, then fredericktown is. MDC considers fredericktown and sg semo. so more than just BG thinks we are in semo.
Ste Genevieve and Jackson used to play. we played for 4 seasons and guess what we were 0-4...my senior year we went 9-1. yep the 1 was Jackson. cost us a trip to the playoffs that year while a Team we beat "potosi" went. they got smoked first round...
Vito---You just sent bleed into cardiac arrest!
Was that the intent? Could be 2nd degree Manslaughter. May be a case for Judge Judy if something does happen.
