I am predicting PHC to win, but the score will be extremely close!
We are also doing a trunk or treat in the front parking lot at Central High School. There will be Central AND Fredericktown parents/fans handing out candy. Kids can do a little trick or treating before the game......5:00-6:30

Central was 5-5 last year when they knocked off Dexter in OT.
Sooooo.....it could be NMCC vs FREDERICKTOWN in the championship game for all we know. There are no absolutes. Only a SITH deals in absolutes.

Zach, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Freddy have a game-winning touchdown called back on a penalty in the first game? And wasn't Freddy missing one of their top backs? I think the answer to both questions is "yes," but I could be wrong about it. Anyway, this game may well go down to who has the ball last, but I think Freddy's superior passing game with Gremminger gives them the edge and the win.
And somebody mark it down because this is the first time BG, Jolly, and I have agreed on anything this season at the same time! Lol. (Which no doubt means we are all three wrong!).
Disclaimer: The upcoming thought/opinion comes from that brief video and that brief video only. Haven't seen either team. I can only analyze what I've been given.
If I'm Schwiess I'm running off tackle at #48 until he steps up. Didn't scrape down, he went backwards to get to the ball. This is not a Knock on any kid or any team, its just something I saw in that overtime. Additionally that game was well over a month ago so who knows where anyone's even playing

Freddy does have a good passing game! but if PHC gets pressure on Greminger and flushes him out of the pocket they have a shot. He does not throw well on the run either direction! But if u let him sit in the pocket he will beat u! Also gotta keep your ends from crashing gotta keep contain and lb need to be able to tackle cause he's a big boy!

Fred had already missed 2 PAT earlier in the game. The conversion attempt was no riskier than attempting a PAT.
Congrats Zach! SG and PHC showed why I'm so big on both teams!
Both teams played extremely hard........it was definitely worth the price of admission!
SG better stop turning the ball over or their done. Congrats to Parkhills. should be an interesting match up... I just hope Coach Schweiss go for it again this year on 4th down from his on 30..

If I was told we would hold Fredericktown to -2 yards rushing I woulda said we'd win big. Not so my friend, lol. 250 yards through the air made it one of those PHC/Fred instant classics.
Fun game to watch, glad we got the win but hats off to the Cats, a class act football program.
Yep, PAT conversions made the difference, Rebels got one for their four TD's, we got none. Don't know if it was nerves or what but Burks had been money on PAT kicks all season. Gremminger came up short on the third going for the two. I'm still scratching my head over what happened on the last PAT attempt. Normally the refs warn the teams to get back to play after a TO, These guys seemed hell-bent on winding the play clock the whole game. Don't know if the five yards would have made a difference or not.
I've gotta give creds for the Houdini act on their third TD, I still don't know where Manion came from! There wasn't a defender within twenty yards of the young man. He had time to catch the ball, build a campfire, cook dinner and still run in for the TD!
Anyway, it really was a great game. Both sides played hard using their strengths. The Rebels did better on the run, while the 'Cats did better with the big pass plays.
Zach, do you have the video on the last TD? I thought Korokis got pushed by Courtois but was still able to make the catch. Is that right?

i didn't figure henson would go for 2 from the 8 though! i trust him to make the right decision and it would have been REALLY tough for me to decide whether to go for 2 or kick it. i don't know what play was ran for the conversion because i listened online, but it didn't sound like the kids knew what they were doing on the play. i'm not saying henson ran some play they had hardly practiced, but wouldn't you want to run a play that the kids could run in their sleep? i personally would have ran a sprint out to give gremminger a chance to run it in if he had the chance. but like i said. i just listened to it online. could have been a play we ran when i was in school that has been ran at freddy since gibbs was here. sorry i'm posting late. been REALLY busy with school and hunting.

yea i know man. haha! good thing i had a crap load of tests or i would have probably had to fight BG and a few other posters. i figured everyone would assume i bailed out when freddy lost and mouth me as well!
Daddy, they did not have a time out to go ahead and kick after the penalty, and it appeared that the officials were set on starting the 25 second clock right on time, everytime (which it should be in the playoffs). After watching it the play called appears to be a sprint out pass, put it appeared very rushed. Very tough season for the Cats.
MVP, do you recall the refs giving any warning as is normal on that last TO? I don't.
I did not notice, but I wasn't looking. I don't think refs are to blame here. They took too long coming up with the play, and they could not get ahold of the kids attention to tell them to hurry up. It was really loud down there. I know he changed the play after the penalty. Just a really bad way to end a good season.
ok thanks for the info! i was probably as confused about what was happening as the radio guys. if i would have been there i would be able to give a heck of a lot better of an opinion about the game. the radio guys were still talking about the TD when the 2 point conversion was going on.
That's about how I saw it too. I watched the discussion in the huddle then heard a few folks start hollering "clock" and noticed the play clock was running. Did seem to be some confusion about that PAT play. Did the five yards make that much of a difference? Other than the play change, we'll never know. I hope it's a lesson learned for the future.
