Welcome back to Week 6 of Gridiron Pick'em. One more shout out to Jason Mouser for winning last week's pick'em on his first try! Thank you again for the great turnout last week, we really had some exciting football being played. Should be some really good games this week as well! We have one game that is the homecoming for two coaches, when the Pixley's of Kennett take on their alma mater of Dexter. Then we have NMCC vs. Caruthersville who have both steadily improved over the season, and will be playing for the conference championship. Our game of the week features two of the best teams in SEMO, which has arguably been the most talked about game this year in Jackson vs. Cape Central. Once again thanks for everyone's participation!! Side note reminder, one of the people who tied for first last week did not pick the final score of the tiebreaker. Please do not forget to pick final score, or you automatically can't win first place if a tie occurs. Also remember to follow BuckMajor Sports on Twitter for general Southeast Missouri sports info and all kinds of good stuff! You can search BuckMajor Sports or @BuckMajor3.
So without further ado, here are this week's games:
FRIDAY SEPT. 26TH
1. Poplar Bluff vs. Sikeston (2 points)
2. NMCC vs. Caruthersville (3 points)
3. Kelly vs. Charleston (1 point game takes place Saturday)
4. East Prairie vs. Chaffee (2 point)
5. Malden vs. Hayti (1 point)
6. Kennett vs. Dexter (2 points)
7. Scott City vs. Portageville (2 points)
GAME OF THE WEEK (Please pick winner and final score for a tiebreaker)
8. Jackson vs. Cape Central (5 points)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but NMCC hasn't played Dexter yet, therefore they can not win the conference even if they win. They would still have to beat Dexter to win the conference. Caruthersville would however win the conference with a win.

That's correct Spike. It could even end in a three-way tie because Caruthersville has already beaten Dexter, but if NMCC knocks off the Tigers and Dexter beats both Kennett and NMCC, all three teams would be 3-1 in conference with victories over each other and a three-way tie would ensue. I'm not sure if there is some sort of tie-breaker or if all three schools would share the conference championship.

I stand corrected then. I wasn't sure how that all worked, and had multiple people tell me this game was for the conference championship. So that was my error for not making sure it was correct. I certainly wasn't counting Dexter out, just wasn't sure how the process worked. So everyone just omit that part haha :)

Buck it will be a conference championship game for Caruthersville. If they defeat NMCC Friday night, it's all over and the Tigers will once again be conference champs. Needless to say, everyone in Dexter will be rooting for your Eagles!

I like Jackson and Cape but believes discipline will decide this game. I'm puzzled by the number of people who predicting a blow out! That won't happen! This rival is too intense!
