High School Football Forum: Gridiron Pick'em Week 10 (Playoffs)

*
Posted by BuckMajor on Tue, Oct 21, 2014, at 9:08 AM:

Welcome back to Week 10 of Gridiron Pick'em. Well the regular season is over and now it is win or go home! I will be doing the pick'em into the playoffs, and we should have a good first week! Just a couple of the featured match-ups are the really close rematch with East Prairie and Scott City which Scott City won with just a few seconds remaining. What looks to be a close battle between a #3 St. Pius and #6 Dexter. Our Game of the Week is the rematch between #4 Sikeston and #5 Farmington which Sikeston won 14-13. So there should be some real good games! Also another shoutout to The Wizard who won last week's pick'em! Thanks for everyone's participation!! Again, please do not forget to pick final score, or you automatically can't win first place if a tie occurs. Also remember to follow BuckMajor Sports on Twitter for general Southeast Missouri sports info and all kinds of good stuff! You can search BuckMajor Sports or @BuckMajor3.

So without further ado, here are this week's games:

FRIDAY Oct. 24th

1. Dexter vs. St. Pius X (3 points)

2. Charleston vs. Malden (1 point)

3. Hayti vs. Portageville (2 points)

4. Kelly vs. Caruthersville (2 points)

5. Scott City vs. East Prairie (3 points)

6. NMCC vs. Park Hills (1 point)

7. Kennett vs. Ste. Genevieve (2 points)

GAME OF THE WEEK (Please pick winner and final score for a tiebreaker)

  • Bleed said he watched film of Kennett? Must have been pre-Edward Wilson QB game. He had way over 200 yards rushing tonight and Kennett had over 400 rush yards.

  • Won't hear from bleed green much now. As usual his predictions aren't very accurate. Congrats Kennett.

LOL!! Loaded with talent! I hope that's basketball talent because that's what season it is for St Gen!! Of course you'd think St Gen should have won! LOL New Flash! I think we discussed two weeks ago after the Dexter and PHC game that stats don't mean ANYTHING if the scoreboard is contrary! LOL The final score is what counts!

  • Ste. Genevieve Head Coach Bob Stolzer ended his Hall of Fame Career last night after 27 years as the Head Coach of the Dragons. He finishes with 206 wins.

    Other notable accomplishments:

    1 State Title

    1 2nd Place Finish

    5 Semifinal Appearances

    3 Quarterfinal Appearances

    17 Playoff Appearances

    14 District Titles

    13 Conference Titles

And what does Bleed Green write in his self-centered sendoff to this man? "Now that Stotzer (can't even spell the man's name correctly) is gone, something might get done."

You need your head examined, BG. You are a piece of work.

Congratulations, Coach Stolzer, for a job well done. You have helped mold the lives of a lot of young men for a long time.

Good luck to new Head Coach, Ken Weik.

  • Very well said. Coaching is more than wins and loses. Coach Stolzer game SG football something to be proud of for over 25 years. Kids looked forward to playing for the man. Job well done coach Stolzer! An bleed 99% of the people that really know you think your a POS.

-- Posted by Coachken on Sat, Oct 25, 2014, at 10:18 AM
  • I don't know him, but I can see he's the dumbest dude on this forum. SG may be good next year, but still will not even be the best team in their town. They won't beat Park Hills next year, let alone Valle.

-- Posted by ePeen on Sat, Oct 25, 2014, at 10:38 AM
  • I agree Bleed I think you were the first poster we had from there we all hated u at first cause it was all St Gen but I kinda like u now.

-- Posted by TFA on Sat, Oct 25, 2014, at 11:34 AM
  • I'm just ready to see Anthony Roe play next year! Can't believe Stolzer's career is over. I was hoping to see Park Hills and Ste. Genevieve in the finals. It'll be Kennett and Park Hills in the finals, but Park Hills will win the district.

-- Posted by ThadCastle on Sat, Oct 25, 2014, at 4:44 PM
  • I'm an Indian all the way but PHC will win district easily.
