Sorry coach, I don't agree. Scoring you 1000th

point in your junior year is a BIG DEAL.

It should have been celebrated at the game.

Only parents are at the awards ceremony.Lets give these kids the credit that is due them.

They work hard for what they have accomplished..

We did not announce that Garret Light scored his 1000th point last year. We did the same thing that we did for Brett. We stopped the game switched game balls and finished the game. Games are about celebrating what the team does on the floor, not individuals. We have an athletic awards banquet at the end of the year, and that is where we celebrate individual accomplishments.

Congratulations Brett Thomas for scoring your 1000th point at the Oak Ridge St. Vincent game Saturday. Why they didn't stop the game and announce it is beyond me. The same thing happend

last year when Garrett Light scored his 1000th point. It's ashame that most of the people at the game did not know it happend. So CONGRATULATIONS to you both. you are both talented players.
