Rain stops SEMO, some high school baseball

The Southeast Missouri State baseball game at St. Louis University has been called off due to rain in the St. Louis area.

Additionally, Cape Central's and Jackson's semifinal games in the Class 4 District 1 baseball tournament at Hillsboro have been postponed. The games tentatively are set for Wednesday, with the championship slated for Friday.

The Class 2 District 1 soccer semifinals at Jackson also have been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday.

In a game that was played Tuesday, Sikeston beat Perryville 12-2 in five innings to advance to the final in the Class 3 District 1 tournament.
