WARDELL -- Jeremy Patty scored 18 points to lead the Neelyville Tigers in a 63-47 win at North Pemiscot on Tuesday night.
The Tigers jumped out to an early advantage, outscoring the Mustangs 20-9 in the first quarter and holding a 35-18 lead at halftime.
"I thought we played pretty well," Tigers coach James Patty said. "We shot the ball well."
Jeremy Patty knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and went 4-for-5 from the free-throw line while Nathan Pringle added 14 points and Cody Russom chipped in 11. Seth Phillip scored eight points for the Tigers, who made five 3-pointers and shot just under 75 percent from the free-throw line.
Portageville 69, Malden 41
The Lady Wave struggled on the road Tuesday, trailing 15-6 after one quarter.
"We just came out flat," Malden coach Chris Hicks said.
The Lady Bulldogs pushed the nine-point lead into a 35-18 advantage by halftime.
Senior Kelly Lemarr led the Lady Wave (1-1) with 13 points, while Hylisha Hill added nine.
