GAME 2: Bell City opens defense in strong fashion
Bell City began its Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament Championship defense with an impressive opening quarter against 15th-seeded Oak Ridge.
The second-seeded Cubs jumped out to a 24-8 lead behind 13 points from Nick Niemczyk en route to a 75-39 win.
Niemczyk led all scorers with 33 points while his teammates Philliip Gross and Marty Dames scored 11 and 10 points respectively.
Oak Ridge got 13 points from Brett Thomas and 12 from Garret Light.
