The Kelly Hawks were able to make big runs early in both halves and record a 78-42 victory over Meadow Heights in the third consolation game Thursday at the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament.

The Hawks, who led 14-2 early on, held an eight-point lead at halftime, but an 18-2 run to start the third quarter helped put the game out of reach.

Josh DeBrock for Kelly scored 33 points to tie him for the tournament single-game high. Josh Rogers also registered double digits with 14 points.

Meadow Heights was led by Tyler Wagner with 10 points, Dustin Hubler with 8 points and Tyler Welker with 6 points.
