He averaged 145.9 yards per game for Jackson, which finished 11-1 and reached the semifinal round of the Class 5 state playoffs before losing to the eventual champions. Also scored 17 touchdowns. … Blistered through some opponents for big yardage in brief playing time: 153 yards on seven carries vs. Sikeston and 155 yards on six carries against Seckman.
