ROUNDUP: Bloomfield rallies past Kelly; Naylor wins in OT

BLOOMFIELD -- Kyle Williamson's layup with three seconds left Tuesday gave Bloomfield an 80-79 win over Kelly.

The winning basket completed a Wildcat charge from a 17-point first-half deficit and gave Williamson a total of 19 points in the game, all in the second half.

"Kyle went to the bench early with three fouls, but he returned and took over the game in the second half," Bloomfield coach Dustin Hicks said.

The Wildcats trailed 51-38 at halftime, but timely outside shooting and key performances from the bench players sparked the comeback as they outscored the Hawks 22-12 in the third quarter.

Jacob McNeil led the Wildcats (10-13) with 20 points, including a key 3-pointer in the second half. Jacob Conner and Kyle Rogers also hit 3-pointers in the second half. Sophomore Blake Harris scored 16 points and Leighton Hensley added 15.

Naylor 49, Clearwater 43

The Eagles outscored the Tigers 10-4 in overtime to pull out a road win.

Naylot made 11-of-12 freethrow attempts in the second half, including all eight in overtime.

Naylor's Cody Hanner came through in a pressure situation, making 4-of-4 free throws in the extra frame and finishing with 12 points.

Matt Woolard also scored 10 of his 15 in the second half. Travis Thomas, who had a chance to win the game in regulation but his shot was off the mark, scored 15 points.

Clearwater's Luke Hillis scored 15 points but missed a 3-pointer as time ran out in overtime.

Campbell 52, Neelyville 50

Cale Weeks put the decisive points on the board by sinking a pair of free throws in a one-and-one situation with 12 seconds left to snap a 50-50 tie.

The Tigers, who held the lead through most of the game before the Camels surged ahead in the final 2 minutes, were led by Jeremy Young's 21 points.

Van Buren 78, Koshkonong 49

The Bulldogs jumped on Koshkonong early with a 20-6 lead after the first quarter.

Cory Kennedy was the high scorer for the Bulldogs with 17 points while Jack Heiburg added 15.

Puxico 73, Richland 65

The Indians jumped out in the third quarter and outscored Richland 28-13 on the way to a win Tuesday night.

David Crain was the high scorer for the Indians (14-9, 4-2) who had four players in double figures in the win. Richland had three players hit double figures as well.

GIRLS

Van Buren 56, Koshkonong 50

Whitney Van Winkle scored 23 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

As a team, the Lady Bulldogs made 20-of-28 freethrow attempts.

Koshkonong held a twopoint lead after the first quarter, but Van Buren outscored them 26-18 over the next two quarters to take the lead.

Naylor 63, Clearwater 35

The Lady Eagles jumped on the Lady Tigers early and used solid defense to overwhelm their opponent.

"Their 1-3-1 is like a wall," Clearwater coach Heather Evans said.

Lindsay Bell scored 19 to lead the Lady Tigers, hitting a couple of 3-pointers in the second quarter, while Adriann D'Amico added 10 points.

Hailee Deckard led Naylor with 15 points while Cheyenne Ragsdale added 13 and Brooke Baccus added 10.

Neelyville 54, South Pemiscot 43

The Lady Tigers outscored their opponent by a few points in every quarter but struggled to take control.

Chelsey Maupin led Neelyville with 18 points while Lindsay Emerson added 12.

Greenville 56, Doniphan 50

Lindsay Henson hit a goahead 3-pointer as the host Lady Bears outscored the Donettes 15-6 in the fourth quarter to grab a come-from-behind win.

The Lady Bears had to overcome foul trouble that sent Sara Woodgeard to the bench in the first half. Tara Porter stepped up inside for her team, scoring a game-high 25 while Woodgeard finished with 20.

Jordan Hart scored 12 points to lead the Donettes.

Viburnum 52, Ellington 44

The Lady Whippets struggled down the stretch as leading scorer and rebounder Megan Morrison got into foul trouble in the first half.

Whitney Morgan picked up the slack, finishing with a team-high 16 points.

The Lady Whippets led 21-18 at halftime before a good third quarter gave Viburnum the lead for good.

Delta 46, Campbell 29

Delta outscored the Lady Camels 26-9 in the first half on the way to a road win.

"If you know a team is state-ranked, you are a little shell shocked," Campbell coach Daren Ellsworth said.

The Lady Camels (10-10) stayed with Delta (20-2) in the second half as both teams scored 20 points in the final two quarters.
