DEXTER -- After falling into a three-run hole late against Sikeston on Monday, Dexter appeared to be in trouble before Caleb Miller capped a four-hit burst in the final inning with a walk-off home run to send the Bearcats to a 6-4 win.
Miller's home run followed a single by Mason Noe that drove in Jared Laird and Ben Mills, who both reached on singles to start the inning. Garrett McEwen got things started by singling up the middle.
"He was our leading hitter last year, and he is the guy you want at the plate in that situation," Dexter coach Brian Becker said of Miller.
Miller allowed two runs on six hits in four innings of work on the mound before giving way to Noe, who got the win in relief.
Noe allowed a pair of runs on three hits in closing out the game.
The Bearcats stranded four baserunners in the first three innings and went down in order in the fourth before Noe came through with a hit to drive in Laird with the first run.
Sikeston scored runs in the first and third innings to put the Bearcats in an early hole.
Mills, Noe and Miller each went 2-for-3 to lead Dexter offensively. Noe and Miller each drove in three runs.

Hime pitched six innings and allowed all six runs on six hits. He struck out eight and walked six.
Silas Dill picked up the win in relief of Jake Welch. Dill allowed a run on two hits and struck out five.
Welch homered leading off the fourth inning, and the Mules added another run in the frame following three consecutive walks and a balk by Hime.
"We're just not playing good baseball right now," Clearwater coach Justin Dobbins said. "We need to play clean ball."
Twin Rivers 6, Neelyville 1
The Royals took an early lead with three first-inning runs and used their bullpen to shut down the Tigers.
Cody Russom started for the Royals against his former team and after some initial jitters, settled into a groove.
Tyler Zoll helped his pitcher out by delivering a two-out, two-run double on a two-strike count in the bottom of the first to give him a lead to work with.
"Cody was fired up and nervous, but that hit settled him down a bit," Twin Rivers coach Jeff Null said. "That was our big hit."
Russom helped himself by going 2-for-4 at the plate and scoring a run. Garrett Stockton had a hit and scored twice in four at-bats, while Zoll finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Russom allowed two hits and struck out a pair in four innings of work. Ryan Tompkins allowed a run on three hits and struck out three in two innings before Jordan Fowler closed things out with a perfect seventh.
