By DAR STAFF

The Greenville Bears rallied from a three-run deficit to force extra innings and scored the winning run on a bases-loaded walk to defeat Naylor 8-7 in eight innings Monday.

D.J. Robinson went 3-for-5 and scored three times while Joey Morey went 3-for-4 and also scored three times for the Bears.

Morey came in to earn the save in relief of winning pitcher Kyle Montgomery, who got the win out of the bullpen. Montgomery went six innings allowing a pair of unearned runs on four hits and striking out six.

Josh Cullison went the distance for Naylor, allowing eight runs on 14 hits. He walked five and struck out seven.

The Bears are having a good season. They are 5-1 in area games (6-3 including tournies). Solid at the corners with 1B-Hill and 3B-Wren, SS-Robinson has a hot glove and can cover some ground up the middle. The pitching staff has also done a fine job. Can't count the Bears out at OFC time.
