ORAN -- The Oran Eagles continued their winning ways Wednesday afternoon swatting the Advance Hornets 13-0.

The Eagles put the game out of reach early with eight runs in the home half of the first inning. Oran continued to add on to that lead with one in the second and two in each the third and fourth inning.

Both Kody Campbell and Cody Dirnberger connected for home runs for the home team while six other Eagle players recorded hits.

Advance's Welch was credited with the loss for the Hornets while Dirnberger earned the victory.

Central 13, Kelly 6

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Tigers pounded out 17 hits as they cruised to the conference win.

Garrett Stevens went 2-for-4 with a home run for Central (6-9, 4-3).

Brooks Osburn and Joe Uhls each added three hits in the win.

Zach Wilson earned the victory in four innings of relief.

Levi Felter, Bryce Faulkner and Chase Smith all had multiple hits for Kelly.

Scott City 20, East Prairie 3

EAST PRAIRIE -- Shae Simmons and Cody Carlyle each went 3-for-4 with a home run and a double for the Rams (8-1).

Ryan Modglin also smacked a homer, his third round-tripper in the last two games.

Sophomore pitcher Skylar Cobb got the win, improving to 2-0 this season.

Cape Central 156, Dexter 167

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Jack Connell Jr. fired a 38 to capture medalist honors and lead the Tigers to victory at the Cape Country Club.

Tim Simmons and Cole Viers both fired 39s, while Jordan Sheets shot a 40 to round out the Tigers' scoring.
