SIKESTON -- The Sikeston tennis team defeated Cape Central 5-4 Tuesday afternoon at the Sikeston tennis courts.
"I was very pleased to come out with a win. Cape has several matches under their belt and they've played a very tough schedule so far," said Sikeston coach Brian James. "They've got a very good team and I was curious as to how we would fare against them today."

"We had a good day in doubles and I thought Dan, along with Justin and Seth, really came up big," James said. "It was a total team effort and we beat a quality opponent today."
Sikeston (3-0) will be back in action on Thursday when they host Marion, Ill. at 4 p.m.
