GREENVILLE -- Clearwater had to pull out all the stops Monday afternoon.
After the Tigers blew a 3-1 lead in the sixth inning against host Greenville, they scored one in the eighth and held on for the win, 4-3.

The Tigers have now run their win streak to five after starting the season out 2-3. Two of their three losses were to Malden and Bernie.
"Our confidence was kind of down and we really needed to reel off a few in a row to give ourselves confidence that 'hey, we can still win ballgames,'" Dobbins said.
With one out in the top of the eighth, Clearwater's Brandon Smith roped a single to left field and moved up on a wild pitch. After a ground out to first moved him to third, he scored give the Tigers a 4-3 lead on a single by Jordan Devenport that was up the middle, out of reach of the Greenville infielders.
In the bottom half of the inning, Jake Hime came in for the Tigers and walked Joey Morey, and Dobbins decided to intentionally walk Tim Hill to put two runners on with no one out. Robert Abernathy struck out and then the Tigers caught Morey in between second and third for the crucial second out.
"We get the big strikeout and (catcher) Cole (Ezell) makes a good throw to start the pickle and then we handle the rundown right," Dobbins said. "We make two throws which is what we try to do."
Morey just had a mental breakdown on the basepaths, Greenville coach Jason Hill said.
"That is another mental mistake that we had on the day," Hill said. "He just got hung up there."
After D.J. Robinson singled to extend the inning, Hime struck out Tyler Daugherty to earn the 4-3 win. He also drove in three runs on the day.
"He doesn't relieve for us a whole lot but he is one of those guys that when we need him to step up, usually he does a good job," Dobbins said. "He has been struggling at the plate and today I tell him to quit guessing and relax and just let the ball get there and use your hands and try to get the ball solid a few times."
Hime hit a triple in the fifth inning to five the Tigers a 3-1 lead but the Bears clawed back in the sixth.
Morey drew a walk and after he moved up a wild pitch, Hill was walked to bring up Abernathy. With two outs, Robinson hit a single to center field that got by Hime and rushed throw from the cut-off man allowed Hill to score and tie the game, 3-3.
"We got to learn to know when we got the momentum and not do crazy things to give the momentum back," Dobbins said. "We have to keep the ball in front of us in the outfield. We just have to learn how to play fundamental baseball with the lead."
Greenville struck first with a home run by Abernathy in the second but Clearwater got one run in the third.
Logan Morris got the win for Clearwater as he threw seven innings. He had seven strikeouts and three walks.
"He is pitching great," Dobbins said. "He comes out and throws a gem over at Doniphan the other day and another one today. We get two unearned runs in the sixth where we should have won that in seven.
"He threw his butt off."
Morris felt good that Hime came in and picked him up in the eighth.
"He pitched real good and threw strikes," Morris said. "(Robinson) hit that curve ball, but other than that, it was good."
Morey went the whole way for Greenville, getting the loss in eight innings. He had three strikeouts and two walks.
"Joey always gives his all every time he goes out, that is what makes an ace," Hill said. "He is going to go out and get his throws in. Today, his confidence started wearing a bit on his defense and it is hard for a pitcher to think that you have got to strike people out."

Tough loss for the Bears. They have to get it together mentally to finish the season strong. Morey is doing a fine job. Hang in there Joey... One bright spot for the Bears is Robinson's clutch two-out hitting.
