COOTER -- Cooter scattered seven Campbell hits as it moved past the Camels 6-0 Thursday in the championship of the Tri-County Conference Tournament.
The Camels struck out 10 times as only three players had hits in the game. Cale Weeks got the loss for the Camels as he pitched five innings and allowed three runs on four hits.
Kyle Matthews led the Camels with three hits on four plate appearances. He also allowed three runs in the sixth inning in relief of Weeks.
Scott City 5, Bloomfield 3
Tony Shaffer went 3-for-4 at the plate but Bloomfield's defensive miscues late in the game cost them Thursday.
Kyle Williamson and Jacob McNeil each added a pair of hits and Williamson scored twice, but the Rams broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth with the help of a pair of two-out errors by the Wildcats.
The Wildcats (5-5) committed a total of four errors in the game.
"We just had a bad sixth inning," Bloomfield coach Dustin Hicks said.
In the seventh, the Wildcats had the tying run on base when a line drive double play brought the game to an end.
Andrew Wilson took the loss for Bloomfield. Wilson allowed one earned run on six hits, struck out seven and walked two in a complete game effort.
"I was really proud of our pitching," Hicks said. "Andrew pitched well and deserved better than that result."
