5-6, guard
A key player for the best girls basketball team in Southeast Missouri, Davis led the Mules in scoring and did what was needed during a 22-6 campaign that ended -- after 16 straight wins -- in the Class 5 sectional round. Poplar Bluff shared the SEMO Conference title with Dexter and Jackson, beat the Bearcats twice and avenged a December loss to Jackson with a 48-40 decision in Class 5 district final. Davis injured her ankle in the first quarter of that contest.

A 3-point specialist, she was 5-for-5 on treys and scored 21 points in a win against New Madrid County Central just three days after hitting three 3s and scoring 18 points in a win against Twin Rivers.
She led the defensive-minded Mules in steals for the season, including a 10-steal and seven-assist performance against Kelly. Also had a 14-point, seven-rebound, five-steal effort in Poplar Bluff's come-from-behind overtime win at Parkway South.
She also led the SEMO Conference in free throw percentage at 77.3 percent (58-for-75) in conference games.
"Aereill brought a dimension to our program this year that was very helpful," Mules coach Kirk Chronister told the Daily American Republic. "She was a winner."
