SPRINGFIELD -- Dakota Trevino and Bill Green ended the Class 3 state golf championships in the middle of the pack Tuesday afternoon.
Trevino shot an 81 Tuesday to finish a 167 for the tournament, finishing in 56th place. Green ended his high school career with an 87 Tuesday finishing with a 170 in 65th place out of 128 participants.
Dexter's Chance Holden finished 19th shooting a 79 both Monday and Tuesday to end with a 158.
In the Class 2 state golf championships, New Madrid County Central's Brett Martindale shot a 90 on Monday and an 83 on Tuesday for a 173 total, good enough for 52nd place. NMCC's Justin Fields and Aaron Griffin both ended in 93rd place, shooting 185 in the tournament. Fields shot a 94 on Monday and a 91 on Tuesday while Griffin shot a 92 on Monday and a 93 on Tuesday.
