Wow! If you weren't keeping score, this team 6-4 last year! Those who hadn't been keeping up with local football never saw it coming, but in '06 they had some close losses and they turned it around in '07. They should have gone 8-2...maybe 9-1. Thanks to some poor officiating and a food poisoning incident, they could have won 8 games last year. Vickery has this program finally headed in the right direction. They have a strong offense led by Lawson and Horrell. Defensively they are also pretty strong (but losing Coach Jim May could hurt as far as schemes go). Expect them to have 6 wins going into districts with three big wins in a row coming at the expense of rival Scott City, EP, and Malden.

The D and O lines still look pretty tough even with the loss of Walker Rice. You still have Cannon who will probably go both ways this year as well as the Atkinson bros. and Horton. The team will be deep at the other Def positions. The offense looks good and will be fun to watch. It will be one of the largest teams in a long time at Chaffee.

Sounds like a bunch of folks are countin' their eggs afore they hatch. Fulton County and St. Pius both play a tough schedule and will be looking forward to playing the Devils, as even at their best, the Devils don't match up with the likes of Mayfield, Murray, and Festus. Here's to Coach Vick and another successful campaign. Another win against the Rams would be great!

Yeah but its a shame that the red devils wont get that win against the rams this year..and you can bet on it

you dang right this squad can do it this year.. and wideout 23 we know who you are and until you do something on the field why don't you keep that mouth shut.. our defense will be fine without coach may.. Mr. All American Ray Goodson has these boys more fired up than ever.. its gunna be a hard fought battle ever time out against the devils... Rams get the hell outa there way.. you ain't doin crap to stop em... I also recall this team going to a east prarie 7 on 7 camp and beating the likes of perryville dexter and hayti as well as east prarie to win the hole thing 4 and 0.. and at the sikeston contact camp they beat the tar out of east prarie and caruthersville.. I know this team very well and there are a much closer group than the teams in the past.. much more hard work and respect out of these boys

we wouldn't have beat you last year but we ran that double pass and went right at you son.. it went right over your fingertips and McCalister caught it and ran it in.. sucks to be you

**** yall are gonna b beast this year yall have a chance at state

-- Posted by thugggness33 on Tue, Aug 19, 2008, at 1:59 PM

so the first touchdown yall scored was the deciding factor to yalls fluke victory...not our fumble thru the enzone that shoulda been a td or all of our big punts called back...your right your TD that tied the game at 7 was the reason yall won...I'm tired of talkin bout this tho forreal cuz you aint worth worryin about till week 5 ..sc has more important teams to play like malden..you know the team yall couldnt get it done against last year
