Oct. 10 game vs. Hayti will lock up the confernce title for Hayti, but that should and will be the 3rd and final loss they will endure this regular season. They won't have the talent they had last year, but Jones will make it work. Defensively, they will be strong and well coached. Don't expect a lot of points out of these guys, but they won't need them with the shutouts they will be providing. They'll start kinda slow with an opening loss to Malden, but expect things to pick up with a win over Portageville. Week 3 vs. EP is a must see game if you like lopsided victories, because the Rams will get one over the lowly East Prairie Eagles. Combined scores from Week 2 and 3 will be Scott City 14 and opponents 0. After they fall short again to rival Chaffee, they'll have a week off to prepare for another loss to Hayti. I feel they are the favorite to win their district and with the new system they will face either Malden or Caruthersville in the 1st round. In the second round they will face either the winner of a Charleston/Crystal City rematch in which the Jays will come out with a win. Expect the Rams to make the quarterfinals and face Maplewood Richmond Heights.
