Players to watch in AJGA Dalhousie Junior Championship

The AJGA has released a list of players to watch for the Dalhousie Junior Championship, Aug. 11-14 at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau:

BOYS

JACK SCHULTZ

Whitefish Bay, Wis.

Class of 2009

Currently ranked No. 76 in the Polo Golf Rankings. Tied for eighth at the ReBath Heather Farr Classic in March and tied for second at Future Legends in July Has six career top-10 finishes.

SAM JANDEL

Dayton, Ohio

Class of 2009

Michael Sorenson

Has one win at the 2007 Nationwide Insurance Junior presented by the Memorial Tournament, and has had six top-15 finishes throughout his AJGA career.

MICHAEL SORENSON

Hartland, Wis.

Class of 2009

Was victorious at Future Legends in July. His second highest finish is a tie for 13th at Coca-Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands in July.

GIRLS

VALENTINA FONTAINE

Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Class of 2009

Posted three second-place finishes this season. Tied for second at both the John Deere Classic Junior Open and the Midwest Junior Players Championship.

COURTNEY McKIM

Raleigh, N.C.

Class of 2009

Has six career top-10 finishes. Top finishes include two third-place showings at the Golf Pride Junior Classic and the AJGA National Qualifier, both in 2007

Jamie Lavin

JAMIE LAVIN

Deerfield Ill.

Class of 2009

Has already posted two top-10 finishes this season. In June, she finished fourth at the SAP Junior Open and tied for seventh at the Midwest Junior Players Championship.
