STEELE -- The Campbell Camels jumped all over South Pemiscot with a six-run lead after four innings lead and went on to a 8-6 victory.
Shortstop Zack Jackson had a great day at the plate for the Camels as he went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a triple. Jackson had three RBI on the day.
Centerfielder Joe Campbell added a solo home run of his own as he went 2-for-4. He also had a stolen base.
Dylan Lynn picked up the win on the mound for Campbell going five strong innings, giving up one earned run and striking out five. He also went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Tyler Thompson went 2-for-4 for South Pemiscot. He had four RBI on the game. Cameron Lincks was also 2-for-4 and he batted in a run.
The Camels raise their record to 5-1.

Notre Dame 8, Poplar Bluff 0
The Poplar Bluff Mules soccer team opened up the season Thursday night at the Notre Dame Soccer Festival with a loss to the defending Class 2 state champion and host Bulldogs, 8-0.
Notre Dame struck quickly in the third minute to put the Mules down early. Poplar Bluff sophomore Dustin Calvert returned the attack in the fifth minute sending a solid shot off the crossbar
The Mules trailed 5-0 at halftime.
The Bulldogs' Brock Dirnberger had a hat trick and added an assist. Nick Wren and John Unterreiner each scored goals for Notre Dame.
Mules goalkeeper Jay Raulston faced 27 shots on the night and saved 19 of them. Calvert had two shots on goal while junior Logan Plunkett had one.
The Mules will continue play that the Notre Dame Festival at 5:15 p.m. today.
