Chelsea Lane threw a no-hitter Monday as Naylor beat Neelyville 4-0.
Lane had 10 strikeouts and just two walks in the win.
"She kept them off-balance and is starting to hit her spots," Naylor coach Gene Deckard said. "She was hitting the corners and moving the ball around."
Courtney Sullivan led the Lady Eagles (2-1, 2-0 OFC) with two hits and one run while Katelyn Hughey drew three walks and swiped five bases.
"We are still kind of struggling offensively, we only had four hits," Deckard said. "We were really disciplined at the plate and made her throw strikes."
Delta 1, Twin Rivers 0
Delta outlasted Twin Rivers in a pitcher's duel. Delta scored its lone run in the fourth inning behind pitcher Kendra Burnett, who allowed just three hits on the day and had 16 strikeouts.
"We are just not hitting the ball," Twin Rivers coach Rob Brown said. "You can't win with 2-3 hits."
Chesea Crain got the loss for the Lady Royals.
"She did a great job, we just didn't give her any help," Brown said.
The Lady Royals are now 1-3 on the season.
"We are not hitting and now starting to get frustrated," Brown said. "I believe we will hit and break out of it."
