ELLSINORE -- The Redbirds erupted for 11 runs in the final two innings of a 14-4 win over Greenville on Thursday.

Derek Saffle led the Redbirds with two hits and four RBIs while Dan Stromat added two RBIs.

Stromat threw the complete game for East Carter as he had four strikeouts and just one earned run in the win.

"He started out struggling in his first two outings of the year," East Carter coach Brock Crowley said. "He came out yesterday and had real good control and was hitting his spots. The offense scored a few runs for him."

Twin Rivers 8, Neelyville 3: The Royals used a five-run fifth to move past the Tigers.

Taylor Lowe and Caleb Doyle each had two RBIs in the Royals' win.

"We got a couple of two-RBI hits in the bottom of the fifth and took control of the game," Twin Rivers coach Denver Stuckey said.

Garrett Stockton got the win on the mound for the Royals (4-2, 2-0) as he threw two innings in relief. John Stevenson started the game and went 4 1/3 giving up just two runs.

"Johnny hadn't pitched in a while, he was a little rusty," Stuckey said. "You give up two (runs) in a little more than four innings and that gives your team a chance to win."

Campbell 11, North Pemiscot 1: Zack Jackson had a great day at the plate as he went 2-for-3 including a home run and three RBI for the Camels. Cody Huber added three hits and two RBI while Jake Nelson hit two doubles.

The Camels totaled 10 hits on the day.

Billy Meadows came in relief and struck three, allowing the Mustangs' only hit of the game.

The Camels have been surging as of late and they possess a 7-2 record on the season.

Bell City 2, Bernie 1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-16): The Mules lost a heartbreaker Thursday night after taking a quick lead on a solid Bell City team. But the wheels feel off the wagon from there for Bernie.
