MOBERLY -- The Three Rivers women's basketball team opened the season with a pair of losses.

Three Rivers (0-2) committed 25 turnovers leading to 31 points for Kaskaskia. Friday night, the Lady Raiders committed 14 more.
"We know what we've got to do, we've got to take care of the basketball," Three Rivers coach Jeff Walk said.
Johnson, a freshman from Lexington, Ky., scored 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field and 4-of-6 from the line Friday before chipping in 14 points before fouling out Saturday. Davis scored 16 points and had eight rebounds Saturday after a six-point performance in the opener.
Fareedah Washington scored 14 points against Kaskaskia while Sara Woodgeard chipped in 12 after the pair scored eight points each Friday. Three Rivers has four players reach double figures in scoring a night after managing just 51 points.
Kirkwood built a 35-25 halftime lead and out-rebounded the Lady Raiders 42-34, getting 17 second-chance points. Three Rivers shot 37 percent from the field in the loss and turned the ball over 14 times.
Kaskaskia had 14 steals with its half-court man defense and shot 50.8 percent from the field. Three Rivers hit 6-of-12 from 3-point range in the first half but trailed 49-40 and by as many as 16.
"You can't have that many turnovers in a ballgame," Walk said. "If you do, you better be scoring every time you touch it."
Three Rivers returns to action Friday and Saturday at Dyersburg, Tenn. playing Jackson State and Dyersburg State. The Lady Raiders first home game is Dec. 6.
