5. Poplar Bluff (4-6) ... Closes season with 31-6 loss to West Plains after coming thisclose in loss to Sikeston. Last week: 4.

Honorable mention

St. Vincent (6-4) ... Saw its five-game winning streak end in loss to Hayti but it was closer than people thought. The Indians were unbeaten against Class 2 teams in districts 1 and 2 this year at 4-0. (In fact, the top three teams in District 1, St. Vincent, Hayti and Chaffee were a combined 13-2 against Class 2 teams from those districts with only Chaffee losing to Crystal City and East Prairie.)
