NEELYVILLE -- The Neelyville Tigers jumped out to an early 11-0 lead on their way to a 82-44 win over North Pemiscot on Tuesday.

"We had good defensive pressure, overall, our defensive effort was outstanding," Neelyville coach Jerry Rich said.

Curtis Hansen led the charge for the Tigers (1-0) as he had 19 points and Austin Russom chipped in with 16.

"This is a very unselfish team, it doesn't matter who scores," Rich said. "They just want to get out and put points on the board."

Daniel Cowen had eight points and led the Tigers with 10 rebounds in the win.

Park Hills Central 62, Ellington 56

At the Arcadia Valley tournament Drew Morrison scored 31 points and Michael Brawley added 12 points, but the Whippets were knocked out of the consolation bracket.
