The Three Rivers Lady Raiders rebounded from Saturday's Region XVI loss with an 81-66 win over region-rival Crowder on Monday night.
Meredith Medlin scored 18 points to lead the Lady Raiders (15-4, 3-2 XVI) at the Bess Activity Center while Morgan Davis added 12.
"It's very important because (Saturday) left a bad taste in everybody's mouth," Lady Raiders coach Jeff Walk said. "Hopefully, that's a big psychological lift for us."
The Lady Raiders lost to 14th-ranked Moberly 83-55 on Saturday after leading by two at halftime.
It was all Three Rivers against Crowder (5-13, 0-4) as the Lady Raiders built a 37-30 halftime lead and led by as many as 22.
"We got out of the gate early, got off the bus so to speak," Walk said. "We started making shots, played good defense."
Three Rivers scored 24 points off 25 Crowder turnovers led by four steals from Davis, who hit 4-of-8 shots from 3-point range.
Medlin hit 6-of-10 shots from the field and all six free throws to go with seven rebounds and five assists. Medina Smith scored 10 points while Sara Woodgeard added nine points and nine rebounds.
Afton Baldwin's 19 points led Crowder, which hit 16-of-23 free throws. Fareeda Washington hit 2-of-4 shots and finished with four points, four rebounds and four fouls, one of four Raiders with four or more fouls.
"We tried being a little more aggressive on defense," said Walk of his team's foul trouble.
Three Rivers got 36 points from the bench led by Danisha Mitchell's nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.
The Lady Raiders outrebounded Crowder 41-32 and shot 46.8 percent from the field including 8-of-22 from 3-point range. The Lady Raiders play their next four at home starting Saturday against Iowa Western in region play.
