HILLSBORO -- Top-ranked Jefferson extended the Three Rivers Lady Raiders' losing streak to three Saturday with a 78-53 win.
"The first half, I thought we rebounded well," Three Rivers coach Jeff Walk said. "We have got to continue that and even step it up a little more."
The Lady Raiders (17-7, 5-5 XVI) were down 14 after first half before Jefferson ran away in the second frame.
"I felt like we played a good first half," Walk said. "We did about everything we could in the first half."
Meridith Medlin led the Lady Raiders with 14 points and Morgan Davis added 12. Fareedah Washington had just eight points in the loss.
"She only had eight points but she battled all night long," Walk said. "She got their starting post player in foul trouble."
Jefferson (28-0, 10-0) was led by Danielle Adams, who had 21, but Diana Voynova gave the Lady Vikings a big boost, Walk said.
"They can put points on the board in a hurry," Walk said. "(Voynova) was making shots she wouldn't normally make."
The Lady Raiders are back in action at 5 p.m. Monday in Little Rock against Arkansas Baptist.
"Hopefully, we can get healthy in the win column," Walk said. "It is going to be on the road and we are going to have to go play."
