Hi, Cape Central fans.

I just wanted to let you know that we had some errors in the football schedule we originally posted because the schedule we had did not list the team's Thursday night games.

I have updated the schedule, so it should be correct now.

Hey Tigers, don't let one bad performance cause you to lay down and die. Use it to get better. Yea, you got beat, but you are gonna get better. That is the attitude to have, and I believe it can happen. It is not how you start but how you finish in HS football, and you got a chance. By the way, Parkway North was pretty god and played well. You didn't. Move on, and let's beat NMCC.

Great effort Friday night down at NMCC. A true sign of competition is perserverance, and I truly thought you fought as hard as you could till the end, and that is a great stride in the right direction. I saw much improvement from Parkway North to NMCC, and if that type of improvement and effort continues, you will be fine. Don't listen to the haters, listen to your coaches and teammates. Great things are accomplished together. You gotta believe!!! I do.

Hang in there Tigers!! The effort of our team down at Obion was good, and at times you played exceptional football. If you continue to work and improve, many good things are ahead. Be coachable, give all you have, and I believe that you can still have a great year. Remember that in HS athletics it is how you finish that counts. All of your team goals are still out there (conference championship, district championship, playoffs, etc.). Don't let the negative words of negative people get to you. They mean nothing. I still believe in CHS and Tiger Pride..... If you do, too, and you keep working as a team, then the best is yet to come!!!

The thing is though that the school bought out the contract from Blytheville because they knew that they could not compete with them this year. So, they thought that they would drop them and try to find a team that they could beat. They went looking and found an Obion team that they thought they could win against because they started this year with a 20 game losing streak. That didn't work out as well either!

"The thing is......", that has nothing to do with what this site is about. I don't guess you read the instructions on this site. This site is for if you are "excited about the upcoming game, celebrating a big win, wishing your team good luck," etc. I don't see any of that in your post.

I had hoped that this site might stay clean and free from the type of negative information and attacks that some posters on other sites encourage, but I guess not. Too bad. Anyway, I will continue to be positive, supportive of my team, players, coaches, and school, and the Tigers WILL succeed and overcome. There is a lot of FB left to be played, and the most important part of the season is still ahead. I still believe.........

What? Better get your facts straight before you start trying to guess who is who.... While your efforts are misguided, your support of the Tigers is appreciated. Keep the faith and the Tigers will rise!!!!!

Have you been following the JV and 9th grade Tigers lately. Both teams are undefeated and there is some real talent coming up through the ranks. I think we are going to have a great football team in a couple of years when these younger kids get at shot at playing varsity ball.

8th grade is also undefeated. Only given up 1 touchdown on defense all year and 1 lost fumbled returned for the other TD. Play Jackson next Thursday and they are undefeated also. Should be a good game.

If you want a sneak peek at the Tigers, come to CHS tonight (11/23) at 6 PM for an open to the public scrimmage. All it costs is a canned good to get in, and all donations are going to our food pantries here in Cape. Should be a good time and a good first look at this season's 9th-JV-Varsity boys basketball teams.

Tigers, Great Christmas Break!!!! Desmond is a Classic Champion, Lady Tigers went 2-1 to win the consolation championship in their Christmas tourney, and the boys' basketballers went 3-1, beating Jackson and ND, and finished in second place at the SE Missourian Tournament. Sounds like 2010 might be a very good year!! Keep working hard Tigers and stay together. I am proud to be a Tiger!!

Tigers are still doing well!! The CHS Wrestlers had a good yourney at the Route 141 Rumble, including Trey Grovenor winning the title and defeating the #1 ranked wrestler in MO!! great job, Trey!! The Girls' BB team is doing well, and played Cor Jesu tough on Saturday in STL. The boys' BB team is also playing well still, and continues to improve. Tuesday, Jan. 19, is FILL THE GYM night, and the wrestling team and the boys' basketball team are both at home. For the cost of a T-shirt, you get admission and a T-shirt, and a hotdog and soda I think. let's fill the gym for both teams. Go Tigers!
