What is a TeamTracker?

TeamTrackers are a direct link between high school sports teams and semoball.com.

A TeamTracker should be an individual who attends all or nearly all of the games played by a single high school sports team, such as the Leopold volleyball team, the Jackson girls basketball team, the Van Buren softball team, etc.

I want the results from every game, meet and match that takes place in Southeast Missouri on semoball for the world to see, but I need your help to make that possible since there are hundreds of teams to track.

All you have to do is go to an event and write down some basic information, like what the score was at the end of each quarter of a basketball game, how many runs a baseball team and its opponent scored in each inning or where your schools cross county runners placed in a meet.

When you return home, you'll be able to log on to semoball and access and submit the easy-to-fill-out form I have tailor-made for each sport.

The forms ask very simple questions and you are not required to write a "story" like you see in the newspaper, so you need not be intimidated by the task. (I will send you a copy of the form for your sport before you head out to any games.)

The first eligible person to sign up to track a team will get the job. Each TeamTracker's picture and name will appear on the high school's page on semoball and TeamTracker updates will appear on the home page as well as the high school page.

All are welcome to sign up -- coaches, avid fans, moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, team managers, principals, junior high students with a big brother on the team or a dream of entering sports journalism and anyone else. The only requirement is that you love your team and share what it does with the rest of us.

If this sounds like a job for you, please click here to fill out a short survey letting us know what team you would like to track and why.

Thank you for visiting semoball.com today. I hope you'll come back often.
