Head Coach: Cory Russell, 1st year

Last Season: 12-14 (lost to Bloomfield in Class 3 district semis)

District: Class 3 District 2 at Twin Rivers (Arcadia Valley, Bloomfield, Clearwater, Greenville, Woodland)

Last district title: 2006

Key Returners: Greg Davis, Taylor Smith, Gavin Wilfong, Cody Asay

Overview: Taking over for the Dons on the bench is Russell who is no stranger to the program. He spent the past three seasons as an assistant under former coach Jason Andrews and spent time as a junior high coach for Doniphan.

The Dons didn't lose a lot in terms of numbers last year as they are headed up by an all-conference senior in Davis.

"Not only does he lead by example, he's also our leader in practice and is vocal," Russell said of Davis.

Taylor returns as an outside threat but Russell said he is working his game inside a little more. Returning players Wilfong and Asay will see the floor for the Dons.

Russell also has a fresman in James Moore who moved in from Chicago that should see time along with 6-5 sophomore Derek Hutchins.
