2009-10 Charleston Boys Basketball Preview

A season ago the Charleston Bluejays pulled off a buzzer-beater against the New Madrid County Central Eagles to claim yet another district title. The Bluejays will look to improve upon their 18-10 record from last year's campaign.

Just a handful of players come into the season with significant varsity experience with Deonte Jones leading the way for Charleston. Akeem Sharp will bring solid play to the court as will Demarques McKeller as the season rolls along.

"About three or four major players come in with major experience," Charleston head coach Danny Farmer said. "They'll be very important to what we accomplish.

"We're kind of going into the season not knowing what to expect. We're like a brand new team. We're just going to try to test the waters and improve by the end of the season."
