Podcast: Small schools, big football and the Cardinals' music man

Malden's Cordell Kilgore (Chris Pobst/Standard Democrat)

Welcome back for our second episode! We're proud to say we've made it this far.

Host Josh Mlot (@semoballjosh) talks with Sikeston Standard-Democrat sports editor Chris Pobst (@semoballchris) about one of the big football games this week — a clash between Malden and Hayti. They talk playing style, gaudy numbers and, of course, a prediction.

In segment No. 2 (19:00) Mlot sits down and talks with St. Louis Cardinals organist Dwayne Hilton about his roots in Southeast Missouri, how he got the gig and music in a sports world. (Josh is a little low in the mix, but Hilton's responses are mostly self-explanatory. We also apologize for some of the louder background noise. We promise it's not contagious ... unless Josh starts showing symptoms of the bird flu).
