Five Kennett baseball players recently received recognition on the SEMO Conference all-conference baseball team. Kennett shortstop Kevonte Mitchell and Kennett left fielder Akeem Nelson were selected first-team all-conference. Mitchell finished the season with a .373 batting average, team-high three home runs and team-high 23 RBIs. Nelson batted .338 with 13 RBIs, one home run and 10 stolen bases...

Poor shooting from the field doomed the Bearcats as the visiting Jackson Indians dealt Dexter a 56-24 loss Tuesday night at the Bearcat Event Center.
