Fall camp: Southeast football finishes practice with dunk tank (Video)
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Southeast Missouri State football coach Tom Matukewicz finished practice with an entertaining activity.
At the end of the Redhawks' practice at the Rosengarten Athletic Complex on Wednesday, Matukewicz surprised his players with a dunk tank.
Junior defensive lineman Jon Slania, offensive line coach Jon Wiemers and Matukewicz were all selected by the players to have a turn in the dunk tank.
Matukewicz said after Wednesday's practice that a decision has not been made on who the starting quarterback will be.
Senior Kyle Snyder currently holds the No. 1 quarterback jersey, junior transfer Alex Niznak is No. 2, freshman Anthony Cooper is No. 3 and freshman Griffin Pickler is No. 4.
"I'm going to let them rise and fall based on what they do," Matukewicz said. "When one shows them they're ready to lead this program, we'll name it. It could be tomorrow, it could be two weeks. Hopefully sooner than later."
The Redhawks will hold a scrimmage from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Houck Stadium.
