Southeast football ranked in Sports Network FCS Poll
The Southeast Missouri State football team is ranked in the Sports Network FCS Top 25 for the first time since the final poll of 2010.
The Redhawks (4-2, 2-0 in OVC) are No. 23 in the poll following their 28-21 defeat of then-No. 21 Tennessee State on Saturday.
Southeast received 72 points in last week's poll, which made them the fifth-highest team to receive votes that was not in the Top 25. The Redhawks received 397 points this week.
The Redhawks join three other Ohio Valley Conference teams in the Sports Network Top 25.
TSU dropped to No. 25 following its loss to the Redhawks.
Jacksonville State remained at No. 8 while Eastern Kentucky moved up two spots to 17.
Southeast received 19 points in the FCS coaches poll, along with Harvard and Yale, which is the most points of teams that received votes but were not in the top 25.
Jacksonville State remained at No. 8, Eastern Kentucky moved up two spots to 16 and TSU dropped five spots to 25 in the coaches poll.
