Southeast's Bradley selected second-team all-conference

Southeast Missouri State senior guard Jarekious Bradley earned second-team all-Ohio Valley Conference honors for the second year in a row.

Bradley's 15.9 points per game is fourth in the conference, and he ranks first in the OVC and 15th in the country as an 87.8 percent free-throw shooter.

The senior is coming off a 28-point performance against Austin Peay, which put him at 1,006 points in his two-year career as a Redhawk.

Murray State sophomore guard Cameron Payne was selected as the OVC's Player of the Year and Racers coach Steve Prohm was named the Coach of the Year.

Murray State (26-4, 16-0) takes a 24-game winning streak into the conference tournament, which begins tomorrow when Southeast faces No. 5 Morehead State at 6 p.m. at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

The Racers are ranked No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 25 in the Associated Press Poll.

Eastern Kentucky senior Corey Walden repeated as the Defensive Player of the Year and Eastern Illinois freshman guard Cornell Johnston was chosen as Freshman of the Year.
