SEMO football set to open spring practices Monday

The Southeast Missouri State football team's five weeks of spring football practices kicks off Monday.

The Redhawks' complete practice schedule, which includes three scrimmages and the annual Spring Game, was released Thursday morning.

Southeast is scheduled to practice from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Rosengarten Athletic Complex each Monday and Wednesday for the next five weeks. The Redhawks' first scrimmage is set for the same time on April 1 at Houck Stadium.

Southeast's Pro Day will be held at the Student Recreation Center-North at 10 a.m. April 7.

The Spring Game will start at 6:30 p.m. April 22 at Houck. The Redhawks will host a free youth clinic the following day at 10 a.m. at the stadium.

All practices are open to the public.

The Redhawks, who went 4-7 last year, begin their third season under coach Tom Matukewicz on Sept. 3 at Memphis.
