SEMO men's basketball standout Antonius Cleveland to play for Portland in NBA Summer League
Former Southeast Missouri State men’s basketball standout Antonius Cleveland agreed on Friday to compete for the Portland Trail Blazers in this year’s NBA Summer League.
The 6-foot-6 Cleveland will take part in the Las Vegas Summer League next month, a stretch of games that spans July 7-17 and will take place at both the Cox Pavilion and Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Portland begins its schedule against the Utah Jazz at 5 p.m. on July 8. The game will be televised live on ESPNU.
Cleveland, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, becomes only the second player in school history to make a Summer League roster after averaging a team-high 16.6 points per game in 2016-17. Forward Tyler Stone played in the 2015 NBA Summer League with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
