Baseball Class 4 Quarterfinals: Sikeston vs. St. Francis Borgia
The Sikeston Bulldogs overcame numerous odds throughout the season.
Even reaching Fridayís Class 4 quarterfinal game at St. Francis Borgia was unexpected after being seeded third in the district. The Bulldogs took care of second-seeded Kennett and top-seeded Notre Dame in district play and then dispatched Ste. Genevieve in its sectional matchup.
However, Sikestonís playoff run ended on Friday at the hands of the Knights, falling 9-6 on a hot, sunny day in Washington, Mo.
