ADVANCE ó The Bernie Mules developed a reputation as fast starters at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament. The Advance boys basketball team was ready to thwart the Mules offense at the start of Friday nightís SCAA showdown at Advance High School. The Hornets kept the score close early and held off Bernie late for a 41-40 victory.
