BLOOMFIELD — The Dexter Bearcats held Bloomfield to two points in the first quarter en route to a 74-38 victory Tuesday night.

Dylan Sitze scored eight of his game-high 17 points in the first quarter, and Cole Nichols added eight of his total 16, as the Bearcats took a 19-2 lead into the second.

Bloomfield committed eight first-quarter turnovers.

The Bearcats scored the game’s first five points before Andrew Francis made a midrange jumper to cut the lead to 5-2.

Bloomfield began to click offensively in the second quarter with Jeffrey Jarrell scoring seven of his team-high nine points. However, the Bearcats held a 28-18 scoring advantage behind three 3-pointers by Truman Krapf and eight more points by Nichols to take a 47-20 halftime lead.

Krapf was the third Dexter player to score in double figures, finishing with 11 points. Maddox Miller scored a season-high eight points.

The Bearcats (7-6, 2-0 SCAA) will host Bernie in another SCAA matchup with the junior varsity game starting at 6 p.m. at the Bearcat Event Center.

Bloomfield (3-7, 0-2) will play Malden with the JV game beginning at 6 p.m. at Malden.
